CRYSTAL PALACE VS TOTTENHAM MATCH ANALYSIS
The Eagles are in 11th place in the table with 16 points after their most recent convincing away win at West Brom (1-5). Two consecutive wins against Southampton at home and Manchester United away at the start of the new campaign, were false dawn as they followed it with two defeats - to Everton and Chelsea. Since then they have picked up 10 points from seven games (W3-D1-L3). As for Tottenham, they have been in impressive form lately. They are unbeaten in 19 of their last 20 matches in all competitions (W14, D4, L2). In the Premier League, they have picked up 23 points so far and are top of the table, above Liverpool on goal difference after a win in the North London derby against Arsenal (2-0).
Crystal Palace had the best start to the season ever with two wins on the trot, including a historical 1-3 win against Manchester United. However, the honeymoon was over before they could have reveled in it for too long. The Eagles followed it with two defeats before they shared the spoils with Brighton. The see-saw results have continued as they lost to Wolves, won against Leeds match, and lost again to struggling Burnley and United. However, Roy Hodgson managed to steady the ship and win at West Bromwich last weekend.
As for the game itself, Zaha again underlined his importance to Crystal Palace as they took advantage of the controversial dismissal of Matheus Pereira to claim their first points in three games with a rout at West Brom. He and Benteke scored twice each after Furlong scored an own-goal to give the Eagles the early lead. It is the first time Palace have scored five on the road in a PL game and lifts them to 11th in the table, three points off the top four.
Tottenham, on the other hand, were held to draws by both Chelsea in the Premier League and LASK in the Europa League after a run of five successive wins. However, back on home turf, they extended their fine run of form having won their last five matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Jose Mourinho’s troops excelled both at the back and up front in the North London derby. In addition, they recorded the fourth consecutive clean sheet in the top-flight.
The deadly double act of Kane and Son Heung-min was at the heart of another impressive win and both were on the scoresheet as Jose Mourinho's side dominated. Son and Kane have now combined for 31 Premier League goals, the second most of any duo behind former Chelsea players Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard (36). Maybe it’s the early days, but the consistency, clinical approach, and relentless efficiency of Spurs under Jose Mourinho means they resemble a side who can have a big say in the Premier League title race.

Crystal Palace are winless in their last 10 Premier League meetings with Tottenham, with their 1-1 draw in this exact fixture last season, ending a run of nine straight league defeats against them.
They did well to demolish West Brom 5-1 in their last league match, and they must be high on confidence ahead of the leaders’ visit, despite the fact the Eagles have lost 18 of their last 22 home Premier League matches against the top-four teams (W1 D3).
Tottenham have kept a clean sheet in 8 of their last 10 meetings with Crystal Palace. They are obviously eager to go all the way in the Premier League this season and seeing that the “Special One” can count on key players for Sunday’s clash, it is hard to predict anything but the visitors getting maximum points from this one.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
