Czech Republic meet Denmark at Baku Olympic Stadium (Baku) in the EURO 2020 Quarter-final clash and the match kicks off at 5 pm (UK) on Saturday, July 3. Read our reason for Czech Republic vs Denmark prediction and betting tips.
DANES TAKE ON THE CZECHS IN A MOUTH-WATERING CLASH
Both these teams were not crowd-pullers or tournament favorites a month back, and people did not expect much from them. But now, one of these two will be in the semis of the Euros. Czech Republic got a lucky break as Mathijs De Ligt was sent off for Netherlands in the Round of 16. Scores were tied at 0-0 till then, but after that the Dutch conceded two unanswered goals. Similar to the Czech, Denmark have also had a pretty inconsistent run until the last two games. Though it was feared the offense of the squad would be in jeopardy after the exit of the playmaker, nothing of sorts happened. The Danes now look determined to make this campaign memorable for their injured talisman Christian Eriksen.
SCHICK TO PROPEL CZECH LOCOMOTIVE TO THE SEMIS?
Czech Republic head to Baku for a European Championships quarter-final against everyone’s ‘second team’, Denmark, after taking advantage of an extra man to knock out the Netherlands, in turn securing their fourth top-eight finish in seven appearances at this tournament as an independent nation. Confidence should therefore be high, especially as their last head to head win against Denmark came at this very stage of the Euros back in 2004.
The Czechs became the first team since at least 1980 to deny the Netherlands a single shot on target at the Euros, and another solid defensive performance is possible here, as they are yet to concede over 1.5 goals in four games during this edition of the Euros. They also have a Golden Boot contender in Patrick Schick, who has been nigh unstoppable lately. The Czechs, ranked 40th in the world, will face another tough test against Denmark in Azerbaijan but they now have the belief.
TIP 1: Patrick Schick will again pose a big threat with his fine finishing and brilliant positioning. For him to score at any time is our first shout.
JUMP ON DANISH BANDWAGON
Meanwhile, Hjuland’s men had Denmark have registered consecutive wins within a single major tournament for the first time since the 1986 World Cup. Moreover, Denmark are the first team to score 4+ goals in consecutive matches in European Championship history. Raucous crowds in Copenhagen helped spur them on and there was again strong support for a 4-0 rout of Wales in Amsterdam, where Eriksen spent four years with Ajax.
Momentum is a massive thing in sport and the Danes currently have an abundance of it. They too have a consistent goal-scoring threat in Kasper Dolberg, and the Danes also have the better head to head record vs Czech Republic over the years. By the looks of things, it’s understood that nothing much separates these two, and with a spot in the semis at stake this Saturday, expect a nail-biter. The expectation is also that goals will come in huge numbers this weekend at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
TIP 2: Including last time out, Kasper Dolberg has netted a brace in all four previous matches he’s found the net for Denmark! We bck him to score here again for our second Czech republic vs Denmark tip.

With both teams registering emphatic wins in their respective games, the quarterfinal fixture sounds like an epic mouth-watering clash between two underdogs. Denmark like to play with more of the possession of the ball as seen against Wales, while the Czech Republic more often than not sit back and hit their opponents on the counter attack. And with two contrasting playstyles it will difficult to predict a winner but we expect a high-scoring affair!
Final BettingKick’s Czech Republic vs Denmark prediction is: Over 2.5 goals.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
