Czech Republic meet England at Wembley Stadium (London) in the EURO 2020 Group D Round 3 match and the game kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Tuesday, June 22. Read our reason for Czech Republic vs England prediction and betting tips.
DIRECT SHOOTOUT FOR TOP SPOT IN GROUP D
England and Czech Republic are locked on four points heading into the final game. A draw would see both go through, with Czech Republic securing first and England settling for second place. After a really positive start against Croatia, England were dismal against Scotland. Gareth Southgate can't really afford another poor performance here otherwise things will start to get toxic towards him. Czech Republic have made a superb start to Euro 2020. They expertly picked off Scotland and then earned a draw against Croatia. They defeated England in qualification for Euro 2020 and have nothing to fear on Tuesday.
SCHICK PUTS CZECHS ON VERGE OF LAST 16
Playing each other for only the second time at a major tournament after a 2-2 draw in the group stages of Euro 2016, the game between Czech Republic and Croatia was an end-to-end encounter that lacked quality chances, with just three shots on target throughout. The Czech Republic have never beaten Croatia in four attempts, but the result leaves Jaroslav Silhavy's side top of Group D on four points, ahead of England on goal difference.
The Locomotives have shown great resilience in the previous two fixtures and are on course to reach the knockout stage of Euro 2020. They defeated England’s neighbours Scotland in the opening fixture with a brace from Patrick Schick, including a wonder goal from the halfway line. A hard-fought draw against Croatia, despite taking the lead through a penalty from Patrick Schick, has kept them top of their group, and even a draw against England will keep things as-is for them.
TIP #1: Patrick Schick is the leading goalscorer in the tournament scoring all three Czech goals, including a stunner from 60 yards against Scotland. He will again pose a big threat with his fine finishing and brilliant positioning. For him to score at any time is our first shout.
A WAKE-UP CALL FOR ENGLAND
The oldest international football rivalry in the world ended goalless after ninety minutes. England was disappointing in front of their fans and Scotland would be more than happy to take the point. It was an excellent defensive performance from the travelling side and England did not cause any compelling threat for the three-man Scottish defence. England's performance will give concerns looking further down the line but they are still well placed with four points from two games.
England's supporters let manager Gareth Southgate and his players know what they thought of a lacklustre display against Scotland, lacking in spark and threat, although the chorus of boos at the end did seem something of an overreaction. No-one, least of all Southgate, would describe this as a good England display - for large parts it was dull, but The Three Lions are still a very healthy position going into their closer against the Czech Republic, where victory will see them top the group.
TIP #2: Tipped to be a tournasment’s top scorer before the start, Harry Kane’s stocks have dropped significantly in 180 barren minutes of tournament football. However, we back him to score at any time here, now that the odds are better than ever.

England is heavier on the weighing scale in terms of pure talent, but the Czech Republic side has shown great determination to be in the position they are in. It will be an intense battle for sure, but the scoreline might remain stagnant considering the defensive form of both teams.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
