Denmark meet Belgium at the Parken Stadium (Copenhagen) in the EURO 2020 Group B Round 2 match and the game kicks off at 5 pm (UK) on Thursday, June 17. Read our reason for Denmark vs Belgium prediction and betting tips.
THOUGHTS GO TO ERIKSEN AS DENMARK AND BELGIUM BATTLE IT OUT ON THE PITCH
Denmark have been well and truly rocked by Christian Eriksen's health on Saturday. Thankfully he has since been stabilised and now looks ahead to making a full recovery. Whether or not his national team will recover from the 1-0 defeat after the match was resumed though, remains to be seen. The scenes were truly horrifying and it's difficult to imagine what the players are now going through. On the other hand, Belgium romped to a 3-0 win against Russia. Nothing less was expected from one of the pre-tournament favourites up against a woeful Russia outfit. This will also be a difficult game for Belgium given the close relations of some of their players with Eriksen.
DANES OUTSIDERS AT THEIR OWN STADIUM
The Danes went through a traumatic episode in their opener, they lost their playmaker-in-chief, and its effects were sufficiently visible in the second half of their match-up against Finland. The Finns ultimately secured a 1-0 win but Denmark now have to put their thoughts and prayers to Christian Eriksen to one side on Thursday when they welcome Belgium to Copenhagen - or else the nation viewed as many people's dark horses could be on the brink of an exit.
While the Danes have been met with a tidal wave of sympathy for the heroic actions of their players and staff after the collapse on the pitch of the Inter Milan midfielder, in the harsh world of football, that doesn't equate to points. And in the even more cold-hearted world of football betting, punters may well see this as an opportunity when the World's No1. team come to town.
TIP 1: Denmark surely can't miss as many chances as their last game and, given the last game between these sides produces six goals, there should be goals here too. With that in mind a Belgian win and both teams to score looks to have an outstanding chance of landing.
BELGIUM A CLASS ABOVE EVERYBODY IN GROUP B
Belgium were quietly going about their business with a clinical dismantling of Russia on their own patch, after they cruised to a 3-0 win in St Petersburg. And the fact they managed this without Kevin De Bruyne and Axel Witsel, while Eden Hazard only played a bit-part role from the bench was highly promising for the Belgians.Dismissed as overrated, overhyped chokers in some quarters, Belgium gave a tantalising glimpse of what could be a very good tournament for them.
Roberto Martinez’s men are ranked first in the world, and they are in spectacular form. They also have set sights on the title, and will try to ensure their progression to the Round of 16 with a win on Thursday. Moreover, Martinez’s men had secured a compelling win in their opener without some of their best players in the starting eleven, and with DeBruyne, and Hazard returning, the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Dries Mertens might be scoring in plenty.
TIP 2: Romelu Lukaku is many people's choice for top goalscorer and he did his many backers a turn with a tidy double against the Russians. He'll get chances in Copenhagen for sure and Inter Milan ace to score at the Parken Stadium looks a stand-out shout.

Hjulmand’s men surely had great aspirations coming into this tournament, but they had to go through some truly unpleasant moments in their opener itself – and to rub salt on their wounds, they lost the game against a much weaker team. Now, they cannot afford to drop points, but are pitted against the first-ranked team in the world. On top of that, the Danes also have a poor record against this foe over the years, and have conceded in plenty in the process.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
