Erling Haaland could be in for another performance worth remembering when Borussia Dortmund host Club Brugge in UEFA Champions League Group F on Tuesday.
Norwegian striker scored twice three weeks ago as Dortmund cruised to a 3-0 win in Belgium to move top of Group F, but on the same day he was named 2020 Golden Boy as the best player under the age of 21 based in Europe's top five leagues per UEFA coefficient, the 20-year-old scored four second-half goals in BVB's stunning 5-2 victory away to Hertha Berlin. He now has a record 23 goals in 22 Bundesliga games to go with his eight strikes in nine Champions League group stage appearances. Haaland has scored 14 Champions League goals in 11 matches.
Haaland made way in the capital for 16-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko, who became the youngest player in Bundesliga history with his late involvement. Should he feature against Brugge, he'll break the equivalent record in the Champions League. Celestine Babayaro holds the current record, having started for Anderlecht against Steaua Bucharest in the 1994/95 group stage, aged 16 years and 87 days.
Fellow teenager Gio Reyna also stepped off the bench but should start, with Julian Brandt likely to make a way in attack. Reyna, who turned 18 on 13 November 2020, is already the youngest American to appear and assist a goal in the Champions League. He could yet become his homeland’s youngest scorer in the competition. The record to beat is 18 years and 171 days, held by Christian Pulisic.
Thorgan Hazard - on target in the reverse fixture - offers a proven alternative to the likes of Marco Reus and Jadon Sancho, while 17-year-old Jude Bellingham could be recalled at the expense of Mahmoud Dahoud in central midfield.
Dortmund: Bürki - Meunier, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Bellingham, Witsel - Sancho, Reus (c), Reyna - Haaland
Out: Schmelzer (knee), Zagadou (knee)

Coach: Lucien Favre
Brugge was outplayed in their previous encounter with Dortmund but remain in contention to reach the knockout rounds. The defending Jupiler League champions sit third in the standings, a point behind Lazio and with a two less than BVB. Back-to-back wins over Oostende and Kortrijk have put them top of the Belgian top-flight standings, but a trip to Dortmund represents a serious step up in quality. Brugge is winless in 11 of their 12 UEFA games in Germany and has failed to progress beyond the groups in eight attempts.
Six-goal top scorer Krepin Diatta is averaging a goal every 149 minutes but is yet to fire in his three Champions League matches. With 15 goals in 12 club appearances in 2020/21, Haaland is finding the back of the net every 63 minutes. As a further word of warning, Haaland scored a match-winning brace against eventual runners-up Paris Saint-Germain in last season's competition - the same PSG team that inflicted a 5-0 drubbing on Brugge in the group stage.
Brugge: Mignolet - Mata, Kossounou, Deli, De Cuyper - Vormer (c), Rits, Vanaken - Diatta, Dennis, De Ketelaere
Out: Mitrovic (heel), Ricca (match fitness), Sobol (not included)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Philippe Clement

Dortmund must be heavy favorites to win this match. They were awful in the first half against Hertha but when Haaland scored the equalizer they turned into a perfect goalscoring machine. Dortmund should win this game with easy and Haaland could get at least a brace after poker of goals on the weekend.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
