Two of the best strikers in the Bundesliga go head-to-head on Saturday when Erling Haaland and Borussia Dortmund host Andrej Kramaric and Hoffenheim.
Dortmund suffered their third defeat in their last four outings at Freiburg last Saturday. Youssoufa Moukoko scored his second goal in the Bundesliga at the age of 16, but the result means that Die Schwarzgelben has dropped four points off Eintracht Frankfurt, who occupy the final UEFA Champions League qualification spot. With that competition returning next week, and Dortmund's last 16 tie against Sevilla coming next Wednesday, Edin Terzic will be desperate to get his side feeling confident once again in this crucial run of fixtures. Dortmund No.1 Roman Bürki has a shoulder injury so his Swiss compatriot Marwin Hitz is set to start his third league game in a row.
Thomas Meunier had to break off from training this week due to his knee injury. Mateu Morey or Emre Can are on hand to fill in; and both could play if Can, who started at right-back against Freiburg, is preferred to Julian Brandt and Jude Bellingham to add some bite in midfield. Another boost comes in the return to training of Thorgan Hazard, and he will hope to at least be among the substitutes having not played since the end of November.
Dortmund: Hitz - Morey, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Can, Delaney - Sancho, Reus (c), Reyna - Haaland
Out: Bürki (shoulder), Meunier (knee), Piszczek (muscular), Schmelzer (knee), Witsel (Achilles tendon), Zagadou (hamstring)
Doubtful: Hazard (thigh)
Coach: Edin Terzic
Consistency is the problem at Hoffenheim too, as Sebastian Hoeneß' side suffered their second successive Bundesliga defeat having won back-to-back games before facing Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt. It means TSG are just five points above the relegation/promotion play-off spot, and 10 points behind Dortmund in sixth. However, in Kramaric, Hoffenheim has the perfect man for this fixture. The record Croatian scorer in the Bundesliga hit all four of Hoffenheim's goals against BVB on the final day of last season.
Ihlas Bebou came on at half-time to score in the 3-1 defeat to Frankfurt last time out and that strike - and his pace - could see him displace Ishak Belfodil in the attack. Ryan Sessegnon will not return to training until next week. Despite three goals being conceded, Bayern loanee Chris Richards impressed on the left of Hoffenheim's back three in his first full 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. The American defender looks set to keep his place with several defensive absentees.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Posch, Vogt, Richards - Gacinovic, Rudy, Samassekou, John - Baumgartner - Bebou, Kramaric
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hamstring), Hübner (ankle), Nordtveit (foot), Sessegnon (thigh), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß

BVB kept five clean sheets across their first six matches of the season. They've recorded one in 14 since. Both teams to score is the most reasonable betting option.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
