Erling Haaland is expected to be fit as Borussia Dortmund looks to finish the job against Sevilla in the home leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday. Read our reasons for Dortmund vs Sevilla prediction and betting tips.
Haaland scored twice in Spain as Dortmund came away with 3-2 winners, taking him on to a 2020/21 competition-leading eight goals. He was at it again against Bayern Munich on Saturday, only to have his tilt at a Klassiker hat-trick curtailed by a nasty gash to the ankle. Interim coach Edin Terzic later revealed the 20-year-old's withdrawal early in the second half was a precaution rather than anything to worry about, if only the same could be said about Jadon Sancho. Thanks to his brace against Bayern at the weekend, Haaland has scored 45 times in 46 competitive games for Dortmund. Absent against Bayern, the Englishman faces a few weeks on the sidelines with a muscular problem. In slightly more positive news, left-back Raphael Guerreiro hasn't been ruled out just yet, despite missing out in Munich.
Thorgan Hazard got the nod in the Sancho role in the 4-2 loss to Bayern, while Nico Schulz made a rare start on the left-hand side of the back four. Julian Brandt and Real Madrid loanee Reinier are alternatives in the attacking wide areas, but American teenager Gio Reyna is a major doubt after missing out at the weekend with a knock. The Black-Yellows will advance to the quarter-finals as long as they avoid defeat on the night by a two-or-more-goal margin.
Dortmund: Hitz - Morey, Can, Hummels, Schulz - Bellingham, Delaney, Dahoud - Reus (c), Haaland, Brandt
Out: Akanji (muscle tear), Sancho (thigh), Schmelzer (knee), Witsel (Achilles' tendon)
Doubtful: Guerreiro (calf), Reyna (knock)
Coach: Edin Terzic
Sevilla arrives in Dortmund on their worst run of form for over two years, with a 2-1 defeat to Elche their third reverse in a row. That came after they squandered a two-goal advantage to be knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Barcelona last week. Coach Julen Lopetegui had Tuesday's match in mind given the team he selected at the weekend, and changes are therefore likely with Suso and Youssef En-Nesyri returning to lead the attack, with ex-Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Luuk de Jong making way, together with former Atalanta forward Papu Gomez. Lucas Ocampos has been carrying a knock and his involvement is touch and go, with Munir El-Haddadi the candidate to replace him. The fourth-placed La Liga outfit head to Dortmund, having lost four of their last five meetings with German clubs in the UEFA competition.
Sevilla: Vaclik - Navas (c), Kounde, Carlos, Acuna - Jordan, Fernando, Rakitic - Suso, En-Nesyri, Munir
Out: Vidal (hamstring)
Doubtful: Bounou (hand), Ocampos (ankle)
Coach: Julen Lopetegui

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
