Erling Haaland and Josh Sargent will be looking to provide the goals when Borussia Dortmund host Werder Bremen on Sunday. Read our reasons for Dortmund vs Werder prediction and betting tips.
Dortmund returned to winning ways last weekend, without Haaland getting among the goals for once. Haaland has scored 21 Bundesliga goals this season but is without a goal in two. He has never failed to fire in three successive Bundesliga matches. Instead, another two youngsters were the heroes as Jude Bellingham and Ansgar Knauff bagged their first Bundesliga goals to steer BVB past VfB Stuttgart. Bellingham then added his first in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, but Edin Terzic's side ultimately fell short against Manchester City in the quarter-finals. Bellingham and Knauff are the 17th and 18th different Bundesliga scorers for Dortmund this season - a league-high. The all-time Bundesliga record is 20, set by Bremen in 2007/08.
It means Dortmund knows they must finish in the top four to secure a place in next season's edition, with six games left and a seven-point gap to Eintracht Frankfurt to overcome. Reinforcements are on the horizon, though, with Jadon Sancho back in individual training. Thomas Delaney is a while Knauff could keep his place in a three-man Dortmund attack, the recent academy graduate having recently pulled ahead of Gio Reyna, Julian Brandt, and Thorgan Hazard in Terzic's thinking. Reus has scored more goals against Bremen than any other opponent: 14 in 18 Bundesliga matches, including six in his last five.
Dortmund: Hitz - Morey, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Bellingham, Can, Dahoud - Reus (c), Haaland, Knauff
Out: Moukoko (shin), Sancho (thigh), Schmelzer (knee), Witsel (Achilles' tendon), Zagadou (knee)
Doubtful: Delaney (Achilles' tendon)
Coach: Edin Terzic
Bremen is trying to avoid falling into an end-of-season relegation battle, with recent results seeing Die Grün-Weißen just four points above the relegation play-off spot. Florian Kohfeldt's side is winless in five and have lost each of their last four, but have faced Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Wolfsburg, and now Dortmund in that time. Upsetting the odds at the Signal Iduna Park will be no easy task but an in-form Milot Rashica could help their chances. Bremen's eight-goal top scorer last season came off the bench to score his first of the campaign in defeat to Leipzig and should start, with Romano Schmid also set for a recall. Kevin Möhwald is another who could return to the starting line-up in midfield ahead of Christian Groß. Ludwig Augustinsson is a doubt, meaning Felix Agu should continue on the left. Sargent has scored four of his team-leading five Bundesliga goals so far this season since the turn of the year. Werder defender Ömer Toprak made 51 competitive appearances for Dortmund between 2017 and 2019.
Bremen: Pavlenka - Veljkovic, Moisander (c), Friedl - Gebre Selassie, Eggestein, Möhwald, Agu - Sargent, Schmid - Rashica
Out: Toprak (calf), Woltemade (knee)
Doubtful: Augustinsson (groin), Füllkrug (broken toe), Plogmann (knee)
Coach: Florian Kohfeldt

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
