Dynamo Kiev will host Juventus and try to exploit the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday night when the Champions League returns at the NSK Olimpijs'kyj stadium.
This is the first time the Ukrainian giants have made the group stage since 2016/17. They had an excellent run in the Champions League qualifiers and eliminated AZ Alkmaar and Gent. Dynamo started well also in the domestic league with the four wins and two draws in six matches with 14 goals scored and just 3 conceded. They are well trained and prepared team by an ex- Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucesku, the man that gave the first big chance to Andrea Pirlo, 25 years ago. Now Juventus coach, Pirlo made his Serie A debut aged 16 for Lucescu's Brescia in 1995. The Romanian coach made a name in Italy, having spells at Pisa, Reggiana, and Inter Milan. His best years came later, as a head coach at Galatasaray and in Donetsk, he won eight league titles, six cups, and the 2008-09 UEFA Cup in 12 years for Shakhtar.
Dynamo has a decent team, most of their best players are part of the Ukrainian national team that was easily beaten by France 7-1 due to coronavirus crisis and without Shakhtar players in that match. After that, they had a much better performance in 2-1 defeat vs Germany, and in the last game during the international game, they shocked Spain, won 1-0 thanks to Viktor Tsyhankov goal, and some fine saves from their goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan. They are at their best with an adjustable 4-3-3 formation, with Vladyslav Supriaha leading the line, flanked by Tsyhankov or Luxembourg international Gerson Rodrigues and De Pena. Serhiy Sydorchuk and Mykola Shaparenko are set to start in midfield, while left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko and Ilya Zabarnyi will feature in the back four ahead of Bushchan.
It is not easy to say that Juventus had a good start of the season due to their high standards and ambitions but they are without defeat in the four rounds of the Seria A with two wins and draws apiece. They drew vs Crotone on Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo and Weston McKennie had COVID-19, Alex Sandro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Aaron Ramsey were injured, while Paulo Dybala was not 100 percent fit so newcomer Federico Chiesa was therefore thrown straight into the starting XI after his deadline day transfer from Fiorentina, with Manolo Portanova a surprise pick from Andrea Pirlo.
Crotone earned a penalty for Leonardo Bonucci’s mistimed tackle on Arkadiusz Reca and Simy converted by sending Buffon the wrong way for the lead. It was not a good way for Buffon to mark his 650th Serie A appearance. Chiesa immediately made an impact on his debut, running on to a Dejan Kulusevski through ball to roll it across for Alvaro Morata’s tap-in from six yards. Chiesa was having a good debut until the hour mark when the referee opted for a straight red card as he left his foot in on Cigarini. Morata had the ball in the back of the net on 76 minutes, but after a very long VAR check, it was ruled offside by the slimmest of margins. That also prompted seven minutes of stoppages, during which Crotone came closer to winning but 1-1 remained as a final result.
Without Cristiano Ronaldo and Weston McKennie, Chiesa and Morata will probably start again in attack, with Kulusevski in support. The status of Paulo Dybala is under the question after he warmed the bench for 90 minutes vs Crotone, despite recovering from gastroenteritis last week. Arthur and Rodrigo Bentancur should start in midfield, with Juan Cuadrado on the wing. Wojciech Szczesny is likely to resume in goal, Danilo, Leonardo Bonucci, and Giorgio Chiellini should make up the back three.

Every visit to Ukraine is tricky even for the European giants but this Juventus roster is built to conquer the UCL. Away win will be our preferable betting options as Italian champions have too much individual quality in their squad.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
