Eintracht Frankfurt will host Arminia Bielefeld infront 6000 fans at Commerzbank-Arena for their first Bundesliga meeting since 2009.
Frankfurt fans were on a rollercoaster ride in the Bundesliga in 2019/20, they narrowly missed out on European qualification, but on the other side, that was a good result because they were in most of the season very close to the relegation battle. After reaching the UEFA Europa League semi-finals in 2018/19 and the last-16 in 2019/20, this is the first time in three years that the Frankfurt won't be playing in Europe. After an unbeaten streak in the last four games and three wins among them they will be eager to start a new campaign with that confidence boost. Eintracht was fun to watch because of their playing style, always trying to find one goal more at the back of the net than the rivals so their attacking options must be on the highest level possible.
Following the departure of Goncalo Paciencia on loan to Schalke, Andre Silva will be given time to shine after the club made his loan deal from AC Milan into a permanent transfer. He hit the target in the second round of the DFB Cup with a 2-1 win over 1860 Munich last weekend and he and powerful and experienced Bas Dost will be target men for the 3-4-1-2 formation of head coach Adi Hütter. Silva was Frankfurt’s top scorer last season with 12 goals, including eight in his last 10 games. The losses of Mijat Gacinovic, Jonathan de Guzman, and Gelson Fernandes this summer leave their squad with a weaker roster. The player to watch is Japanese Kamada who was brilliant last year in the playmaking role and very dangerous as an assistant and scorer from the edge of the penalty box. Jetro Willems has a knee injury, Filip Kostic who had 11 assists, and 4 goals in last season should return on the left-wing, and Steven Zuber will probably start from the bench.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Abraham (c), Hasebe, Hinteregger - da Costa, Kohr, Rode, Kostic - Kamada - Silva, Dost
Out: N'Dicka (ankle), Willems (knee)
Doubtful: Ache (back)
Coach: Adi Hütter
Bielefeld finished top of the 2. Bundesliga last season to regain a top-flight status after an 11-year absence. They are back at Germany's top table for the first time since 2009 and 10 points clear of VfB Stuttgart and the best attack with 65 goals scored and best the best defense with 30 conceded are great signs before the Bundesliga start. They suffered only two defeats from 34 matches but also played out in 14 draws so Uwe Neuhaus can say that his side was very tough to beat. Armenia's away success last season was based on a rock-solid defense that shipped only 18 goals in 19 games. On the other side, they had a man more than ready to contribute in the attack, Fabian Klos scored 21 goals and had 11 assists in 31 games last term, but at the start, he will be without his striking partner Andreas Voglsammer due to the injury who had 12 goals and 5 assists. Interestingly, the 32-year-old Klos has never played in the top flight before. Loan signing Sergio Cordova, who arrived from Augsburg, will try to benefit from his injury and show that he still belongs in the Bundesliga.
They didn’t start well, in the first round of the DFB Cup at the weekend - Bielefeld lost 1-0 to fourth-tier side Rot-Weiss Essen but their lack of focus in that game can tell that they were with one eye on Bundesliga start. Engelmann scored in the 33rd minute for RW Essen and they never looked like a team that could make a turnaround, sending the opposite picture from last season. Bielefeld manager Uwe Neuhaus must choose a squad without Reinhold Yabo who has a thigh muscle strain.
Bielefeld: Ortega - Brunner, Pieper, Nilsson, Laursen - Prietl - Soukou, Consbruch, Hartel, Cordova - Klos (c)
Out: Voglsammer (foot)
Doubtful: Yabo (muscular)
Coach: Uwe Neuhaus

Eintracht is the favorite to win but with their adventurous style, it is probably better to avoid home win and choose a more reasonable bets as over 2,5 goals or both teams to score.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
