Eintracht Frankfurt will need to check the fitness of top scorer Andre Silva, and Borussia Mönchengladbach will welcome back Marcus Thuram for Tuesday's meeting at the Deutsche Bank Arena.
Andre Silva was only fit enough to train individually last week due to a muscle strain sustained in the second half of Frankfurt's 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund. Eintracht's seven-goal striker missed Friday's 2-1 defeat to Wolfsburg as a result but could feature in some capacity in Germany's financial capital. Bas Dost will likely start in the lone striker's role, though, after marking his return to the starting line-up against former club Wolfsburg with his fourth goal of the season.
Stefan Ilsanker was preferred to Aymane Barkok in midfield, but the latter did make it off the bench and could be recalled. There was also a late cameo for Napoli loanee Amin Younes, who is nearing full fitness following illness and a knock. A minor injury puts Erik Durm's run in the side at right-wing-back in doubt, with Danny Da Costa on standby as the Eagles seek to end a run of seven matches without a win.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Abraham (c), Hinteregger, N’Dicka - da Costa, Sow, Ilsanker, Kostic - Barkok, Kamada - Dost
Out: Ache (hamstring), Willems (knee)
Doubtful: Durm (hamstring), Silva (muscular)
Coach: Adi Hütter
Four points and a place better off than Frankfurt, eighth-in-the-table Gladbach have won one of their last five Bundesliga outings, albeit losing only once in that time. The Foals fought back from a goal down to draw with Hertha Berlin on Saturday, thanks to stand-in captain Breel Embolo's second goal in as many games. Regular skipper Lars Stindl, Alasanne Plea, and Thuram started the Hertha stalemate on the bench following their fatigue during the Foals' successful UEFA Champions League group campaign but should be recalled in Frankfurt.
Right-back Stefan Lainer is also expected to come back in, but an accumulation of yellow cards rules out midfielder Florian Neuhaus. With Yann Sommer a doubt once more, Tobias Sippel could continue between the goal-posts. Winger Jonas Hofmann is out.
Gladbach: Sippel - Lainer, Ginter, Elvedi, Wendt - Kramer, Zakaria - Embolo, Stindl (c), Thuram - Plea
Out: Hofmann (thigh), Neuhaus (suspended)
Doubtful: Bensebaini (not included), Sommer (groin)
Coach: Marco Rose

Having played out five draws across the entire 2019/20 league campaign, Gladbach has already drawn five of 11 this season. All of them were goalscoring draws and both teams to score is more than a reasonable bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
