They're among the Bundesliga's top scorers this season, but who will win out between Andre Silva and Wout Weghorst when Eintracht Frankfurt host top-four rivals Wolfsburg on Saturday? Read our reasons for Eintracht Frankfurt vs Wolfsburg prediction and betting tips.
Silva climbed to outright second in the 2020/21 scoring charts with his winner against Borussia Dortmund last Saturday. It was his 22nd Bundesliga strike of the campaign, and arguably his most important. Sealing a 2-1 triumph, the Portugal international put seven points between Frankfurt in fourth and fifth-in-the-table BVB. Only Bernd Hölzenbein (26 goals in 1976/77) has scored more Eintracht goals in a single season than Silva (22) this term. Die Adler (P13, W7, D6) is one of only three teams that remain unbeaten at home in the top-flight, alongside Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. With only seven rounds of fixtures remaining, a place in next season's UEFA Champions League groups is surely Eintracht's to lose.
Filip Kostic had a direct hand in both goals to take his assist tally to 11 for the campaign - including 10 in this calendar year alone - while the suspension-free Amin Younes more than justified his inclusion in the supporting role often occupied by Daichi Kamada. The Napoli loanee took a knock for his troubles, though, so roles could potentially be reversed at the Deutsche Bank Park. Real Madrid-owned forward Luka Jovic should continue in attack, but defender Martin Hinteregger remains out, with Stefan Ilsanker set to continue at the heart of a back three.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Tuta, Ilsanker, N'Dicka - Durm, Sow, Rode (c), Kostic - Younes - Silva, Jovic
Out: Ache (hamstring), Hinteregger (thigh), Toure (pelvis)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Adi Hütter
Fuelling Wolfsburg's top-four ambitions, Weghorst makes the trip to Frankfurt with 17 goals and six assists to his name so far in 2020/21. That means the big Dutchman has contributed to exactly half of Wolfsburg's 46 Bundesliga goals. The Wolves have kept 13 clean sheets so far in 2020/21 - a league-high - compared to Eintracht's three shutouts - a league-low. Weghorst has scored three times in five meetings with Frankfurt, including twice earlier this season. And while it's the lowest collective tally of all teams in pursuit of Champions League football, 22 conceded is a joint-best shared with second-placed RB Leipzig, who the Wolves trail by just three points.
Oliver Glasner's side is unbeaten in their last three matches since suffering only their third league defeat of the season, at Hoffenheim, on Matchday 24. Paulo Otavio was sent off in that game and serves the final installment of a four-match ban, with Jerome Roussillon almost certain to deputize once again at left-back. Indeed, Glasner is expected to name the same side that ground out a 1-0 win over lowly Cologne last weekend. Midfielders Admir Mehmedi and Renato Steffen miss out.
Wolfsburg: Casteels (c) - Mbabu, Lacroix, Brooks, Roussillon - Schlager, Arnold - Baku, Gerhardt, Brekalo - Weghorst
Out: Guilavogui (groin), Mehmedi (calf), Otavio (suspended), Steffen (ankle)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Oliver Glasner

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
