England meet Denmark at the Wembley Stadium (London) in the EURO 2020 Semi-final clash and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Wednesday, July 7. Read our reason for England vs Denmark prediction and betting tips.
ENGLAND VS DENMARK: WHO WILL GET TO FIGHT FOR THE TROPHY?
After barely getting out of second gear in the group stages, England upped their game for the knockout stages and come into this tie on the back of a 4-0 win over Ukraine. England are the only side yet to concede at Euro 2020 and with Harry Kane hitting his stride, fans are confident of silverware this summer. However, Denmark are not to be underestimated. To bounce back the way they have after Christian Eriksen's collapse and defeats to Finland and Belgium warrants commendation and with a settled system and XI, they are a force to be reckoned with. Especially after their impressive 2-1 win against the Czech Republic last time out.
ENGLAND FAVOURITES AHEAD OF SEMIS
The Three Lions were heavy favourites to win the match at the Stadio Olimpico and they didn’t disappoint as a blitzkrieg spearheaded by England captain Harry Kane saw Ukraine outwitted and outperformed in the Italian capital. Buoyed by a convincing 2-0 victory over old rivals Germany, the Three Lions simply cruised to a 4-0 success versus Ukraine in Rome. They are looking confident out there and will want to do their 60,000 supporters proud on Wednesday.
Southgate has manoeuvred his England squad with great expertise throughout Euro 2020, demonstrating the riches he has at his disposal. To add to England and Southgate's satisfaction, they kept their fifth successive clean sheet to maintain their record of not conceding a goal at Euro 2020. It was proof, amid an imperious victory, that Southgate's England squad has the sort of quality and depth that will make them confident they can finally end that 55-year wait for success.
TIP #1: Kane’s return to form has come at just the right time and looking at the England vs Denmark odds, we back the Tottenham striker to score at any time here.
CAN DENMARK FIND NEW WIND AFTER ENERGY-SAPPING QUARTER FINAL?
Denmark famously lifted this trophy back in 1992 when only receiving a late entry and their exploits this time have again been worthy of a place in footballing folklore. Eriksen’s near-death experience in an opening loss to Finland cost them their most talented individual and a narrow defeat by Belgium seemed to dash any hopes of a recovery. However, the Danes sneaked through by handing Russia a 4-1 drubbing and then powered to a 4-0 triumph over Wales at the last-16 stage.
First-half goals from Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg put them in control versus the Czech Republic, who could only halve the deficit through Patrik Schick. But Denmark were able to recompose themselves and dig in to ensure the victory and a semi-final at Wembley. They can surely feel that the force is with them, but the Czechs’ intensity and work-rate left them looking tired after the game, certainly much more tired than the English players after their disposal of Ukraine.
TIP #2: The Danes have been inspired by Christian Eriksen’s absence and can take heart from an October Nations League win at Wembley. Everything suggests they will give it a go on Wednesday night and for them to score first is a stand-out shout.

England lost to Denmark the last time these two met, that a 1-0 defeat at Wembley in the UEFA Nations League last October. With fans allowed back into the stadium and England supporters in full voice, the Three Lions are unlikely to succumb to a loss here, but Denmark have the means to take this one all the way.
Final BettingKick’s England vs Denmark prediction is: both teams to score.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
