Everton host Brighton in the fourth week of the Premier League at Goodison (Liverpool) on Saturday, October 3 and the match kicks off at 3pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Everton made a perfect start to their new campaign with three consecutive wins. Everton comfortably defeated Tottenham on the opening day in London, and then put five behind West Brom next week at home. Their third Premier League win came against Crystal Palace in London, and without any doubt, there is plenty of early optimism at Everton.
After losing on the opening day against Chelsea, Brighton bounced back with three consecutive victories, against League One side Portsmouth and Preston in the Carabao Cup, and away at Newcastle in the Premier League. However, they lost their most recent Premier League match against Man United in controversial fashion (2-3) Nevertheless, their improvement has been massive and the Seagulls can look forward to the Saturday's match against Everton.
MATCH ANALYSIS
This is the first time Everton have won their first five fixtures of a season since 1938 - and the first time they have started a top-flight campaign with three successive victories since 1993-94.Ancelotti admitted that they have the good momentum and that the spirit is there. In a busy time with another game on Wednesday in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, they have to keep the motivation and ambition up if they are to reach little further this year. Last Saturday, Calvert-Lewin continued his scoring and with 5 goals he is among top scorers in the Premier League and it seems like Ancelotti's class has finally started rubbing off on the team as well. The players came back hungrier this season, but you can only focus on one game at a time and they shouldn't lose focus against Brighton.
Brighton cruised to a comfortable Premier League victory over an under par Newcastle at St James' Park on match-day 2, which was a superb all-round showing from the Seagulls and the perfect response to losing their opening game to Chelsea. They were well-organized, well-drilled and played with confidence. Apart from Maupay, their new young full-back Lamptey and Ben White, were stand-out performers as well. Unfortunately, Saturday's loss to Man United means Brighton have picked-up just three points from first three games, but they were really unlucky not to get anything from their opening game against Chelsea and deserved at least a point from the game with United. They need to take it on the chin, and bring their best game when they visit the in-form Everton.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
