Everton host Crystal Palace at the Goodison Park (Liverpool) in the 30th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 6 pm (UK) on Monday , April 5. Read our reasons for Everton vs Crystal Palace prediction and betting tips.
After suffering back-to-back home defeats against Burnley in the league (2-1) and Man City in the FA Cup Quarter-finals(2-0) before the international break, Everton aim to return to winning ways in the when they take on Palace on Monday night. Gylfi Sigurdsson could miss the match as the Iceland international and his wife are expecting their first child, while Delph and Doucoure remain sidelined with injuries. Palace, meanwhile, aim to build on a 1-0 win over West Brom. They hope to regain a spot in top ten, but beating Everton at Goodison is easier said than done. Sakho and Tomkins remain on the sidelines with injuries, while Mitchell, Clyne, Ferguson, McArthur, and McCarthy are all rated doubtful for the game.
For the first time since 2016-17, Everton enter the final heats of a season with something tangible still to play for. The silverware dream may have died its inevitable death for another year at least, but European qualification certainly still remains on the cards for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. The Blues sit eighth currently, but have only played 28 games so far, the joint-fewest in the top-flight. The Toffees know they must win at home against Roy Hodgson’s side, who has little to aim at in what’s left of the season, placed in midtable.
With just five points separating them from the Champions League and potentially just two from the Europa League, this season is far from over despite the recent lull for the men in blue prior to this international break. Everton remains in the running for a top-four finish and place in next season’s Champions League, but their chances are fading fast. So, will Everton make their home advantage count, or can Palace finish off their chances of breaking into the European places?
On the other hand, with 37 points, they won’t go down, nor are they likely to qualify for Europe. Perhaps, Sheffield United or West Brom aside, if you could hand-pick a next opponent for Everton to face, particularly at Goodison, it would be Roy Hodgson’s men. Not only because Palace have not beaten Everton home or away since September 2014, and have lost on their last three trips to Everton, but also because the Eagles have little to play for for the rest of the season.
Crystal Palace staged a late assault on the Europa League places last season before falling apart in the closing games. There is little chance of them putting pressure on the top seven or eight teams this time, and the Londoners look to be running down the clock to the end of the season and summer break. Beating relegation and holding their place in the Premier League is Palace’s main aim in most seasons, and the club’s board will be delighted they have already achieved that with games to spare.

Everton meet Crystal Palace unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League meetings with the Eagles (W6, D6), and can do the league double over the Eagles for the first time since the 2004-05 after celebrating a 2-1 in the reverse fixture in September.
Everton’s seven-home league defeats this season is their most in a single Premier League campaign since 2015-16 (8), but Palace’s most recent victory here came in September 2014 and coould now lose four consecutive away games against the Toffees for the first time ever.
We are backing up Everton to win here, but chasing a result is always a double-edged sword. We expect Palace to frustrate the hosts so the BettingKick’s Everton vs Crystal Palace prediction is: Under 2.5 goals.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
