West Brom
5 - 2
Everton FC host West Bromwich Albion on the second day of Premier League at Goodison Park (Liverpool) on Saturday, September 19 and the match kicks off at 12.30pm (UK).
For Everton, the most pressing matter in pre-season was to address the midfield and that's why they have brought in Allan from Napoli for more protection of the back four, and Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez from Real Madrid for more attacking intent. It already paid dividends as James showed his set of skills in away win against Tottenham on the opening day of the season, so the Toffees will look forward to Saturday when they host newly-promoted WBA.
After being absent since 2018, West Brom are back in the Premier League after they finished second in the Championship. However, after their 3-0 home defeat to Leicester at the start of the new campaign, they still have to wait for the first points and goals in top flight. Early signs are that of a struggle, and the string of losses is something they'll try to avoid. The trip to Liverpool this weekend will be a chance, albeit slim one, to pick themselves up and to get on the scoresheet.
EVERTON VS WEST BROM MATCH ANALYSIS
Everton made a flying start to the season on Saturday, after Calwert-Lewin's header earned them three points against Tottenham in London. After a disappointing 2019/2020 season, manager Ancelotti will be pleased with the display and the fact that they showed they can compete against top clubs. The attitude and the spirit was good, and Rodriguez was the star of the match with his passing and creativity.
More importantly, for the first time in ages, Everton didn’t just simply win against one of the big boys, but thoroughly outmaneuvered them. When you take into consideration that they did so with players and a manager who between them have won seven Champions Leagues and numerous national championships, suddenly the squad looks completely different. The feeling of stagnancy has been replaced with new visions and energy, and for the first time in 16 years the Blues can really look forward into new campaign .
As for the Brom, the apparent dip in form at the end of the last campaign has probably subdued the feel-good factor among the fans and after the promotion, the reality that they’ll have to overcome the odds to finish above the dotted red line in 2020/21, has begun to sink in. And after their defeat in the opener, Bilić must first and foremost tweak the tactics sufficiently enough in order to keep them solid at the back if they want to have a chance. Otherwise, a return trip to Championship may come too soon.
They started the last weekend's match brightly, but lack of cutting edge was obvious, which is something they would want to address before the transfer window closes. If The Baggies can add a striker, a new center-back, and another attacking midfielder, then they should feel they have enough to secure survival. As it seems at the moment, Pereira, The Brazilian will be the creative force, and hopefully, the defense with Ajayi in its center, will find much needed consistency.

This match will be full of goal chances and both teams are motivated to win. Both clubs will spend most of their time by attacking and trying to score, specially Everton, who will be more offensive, instead of West Brom who will be more defensive, and try to use some Everton's mistakes to create some dangerous attempts.
After all I said about these two teams and the match, I would rather think that Everton will win this one.
My final Everton vs West Brom Prediction is 1.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
