After a thrilling first game in Norway and a 3-3 draw, Ferencvaros, and Molde will push for their place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League at Groupama Arena in Budapest on Tuesday.
The international performance of Ferencváros has been memorable this year so far: they defeated Djurgarden, Celtic, and Dinamo Zagreb and Fradi had a 2-0 advantage, then was one goal behind, just to close the game with a penalty for the final 3-3 against Molde. Shortly after, Martin Ellingsen headed in 3-2 and Molde had turned the match around, but it was not over yet, a penalty that Kharatin scored confidently created the final 3-3 result.
Ferencvaros played on the Saturday afternoon when they had the first domestic cup match this season against Ráckeve. Fradi won confidently 6-1 and the goalscorers were Baturina twice, Katona, Zubkov, Varga, Skvarka. The home team got another great chance ten minutes later when Eikrem fired off towards the nearest corner. Keeper Storevik saved well, and on the return came Hestad who finished. The substitute hit the net wall, but the goal was rejected for offside. Five minutes before the end, Molde got another chance to equalize, Ohi was played through by Aursnes and shot, but the ball again struck the frame of the goal and went out. Molde pressed for the point towards the end of the match, but Sandefjord was able to defend well and go home with all three points in the bag.
