Giant-killers Spezia has two of their first-choice back four suspended, but still aim to cause another upset against struggling Fiorentina.
Only two points separate the teams going in, and Fiorentina needs a victory to leapfrog Spezia, but have just one point from three rounds. They’ll face angry ex-Viola players Riccardo Saponara and Kevin Agudelo. Cesare Prandelli claimed Fiorentina didn’t deserve to lose against Sampdoria but urged his players to be more clinical. La Viola suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Marassi and remain seven points above the relegation zone. “I am a little bit embarrassed after such a game, we made two mistakes and we conceded two goals. We must be more determined and clinical in front of goal,” Prandelli told the media. “We are working to improve our mentality and to improve on a tactical level. I was not happy with the draw, imagine with a defeat. We must not lose self-esteem and continue like this, avoiding being frenetic in front of goal."
Dusan Vlahovic has now scored seven goals in 11 games with Prandelli in the dug-out. “He has room for improvement, he works with great intensity and desire to emerge," Prandelli said. “He is a guy who listens a lot. Sometimes he must focus on the team a little more and be find more balance inside himself. He can have a different impact, but I am happy with him.”
Fiorentina (3-5-2): Dragowski; Milenkovic, Pezzella, Martinez Quarta; Venuti, Amrabat, Pulgar, Castrovilli, Biraghi; Eysseric, Vlahovic

Injured: Ribery
Vincenzo Italiano is having a fantastic debut Serie A season in charge of Spezia, fresh from back-to-back victories over Sassuolo and leaders Milan. Spezia has 24 points after 22 rounds, so during the three points for a win era, only Chievo did better in their debut Serie A season with 37 in 2001-02. Spezia coach acknowledged the 2-0 triumph over Milan was ‘the best game of my career,’ and even he is surprised by Kevin Agudelo’s development. The minnows in their first-ever Serie A season could not have asked for a better way to start this new era, as the club was taken over by American businessman Robert Platek on Thursday. The goals were scored by Spezia youth team products Giulio Maggiore and Simone Bastoni, while Ivan Provedel didn’t have a single save to make. “It was the best game of my career, especially as we were against a stratospheric side like Milan, who are the Serie A leaders. Seeing my lads play from the first to the 90th minute with this intensity and aggression, it’s very satisfying,” Italiano told media.
With M’Bala Nzola and Roberto Piccoli both injured, using Kevin Agudelo as a False 9 has been a masterstroke. “He has some remarkable qualities, great strength, is so quick with the ball at his feet, and hadn’t given his best out wide. Out of necessity, we asked him to work as a center-forward and it’s starting to pay off. He’s a huge surprise and I think he’s enjoying himself in the new role too. Ricky Saponara and Emmanuel Gyasi sacrificed themselves for the team tonight, working hard to neutralize the Milan full-backs. It was a perfect performance and I hope it’s one of many from here to the end of the season.”
Spezia (4-3-3): Provedel; Vignali, Chabot, Ismajli, Marchizza; Sena, Ricci, Maggiore; Verde, Agudelo, Gyasi
Suspended: S Bastoni, Erlic
Injured: Ferrer, Farias, Terzi

It should be a very entertaining match, as visitors are very high on confidence. Both teams to score looks like a very reasonable betting option.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
