France will be looking to celebrate top position in Group 3 when they welcome Sweden at their Stade de France in the last group game in the Nations League.
Les Tricolores produced a brilliant display in the 1-0 win over Portugal, with the team securing their place in the playoffs, but, no doubt, they want to finish the process in style. The 0-2 defeat at home against Finland in a friendly encounter earlier this week seemed to have served as a wake-up call. A goal from Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante in the second half was enough to ensure victory for Didier Deschamps' France. France remained unbeaten in the group winning four of their five games and a win over Portugal essentially sealed their position at the top of the table. The reigning World Cup holders are now on 13 points in League A3 heading into the final game meaning they hold a three-point lead over the closest rival.
Following the withdrawals of Houssem Aouar and Nabil Fekir due to injuries, France also lost Wissam Ben Yedder, who tested positive for coronavirus. Kylian Mbappe missed the Portugal encounter due to an injury but is expected to be available against Sweden, as confirmed by manager Deschamps. Mike Maignan could be in line for his second international appearance for France, replacing captain Hugo Lloris in goal for the hosts. Kurt Zouma, who has impressed for Chelsea this season, could feature from the start, partnering Presnel Kimpembe at the heart of Les Bleus’ defense. On either side of him, AS Monaco’s Ruben Aguilar and Lucas Digne could be set to feature. N’Golo Kante, who was the match-winner for France against Portugal, is in line for a rest, meaning Steven Nzonzi could get the nod at the base of the midfield diamond formation. Corentin Tolisso, who hasn’t featured in either game for France so far during this break, could be handed a starting berth, with Moussa Sissoko also likely to get the nod.
Antoine Griezmann is likely to continue at the tip of the diamond, with the Barcelona superstar expected to support the strike partnership of Marcus Thuram and Mbappe.
France (4-3-3): Maignan; Aguilar, Zouma, Kimpembe, Digne; Nzonzi; Sissoko, Tolisso; Griezmann; Mbappe, Thuram
Sweden had themselves out of touch at the bottom of the table and perhaps out of their depth in League A but did manage to see off Croatia, 2-1, in their last Nations League game to give themselves a chance of survival. Goals from Juventus youngster Dejan Kulusevski and Dalian Pro defender Marcus Danielson secured the win for Sweden. Danielson's own goal proved to be an insufficient consolation for Croatia. The Swedes were promoted from League B in 2018 but started the new campaign with four straight defeats. The hosts were beaten 1-0 by France and 2-0 by Portugal back in September and failed to get on the board again when they lost to Croatia by two goals to one and were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Portugal last month. However, their victory on Saturday now sees them level on points with the Croats.
The visitors will be without the services of midfielder Albin Ekdal, who will serve a one-match suspension for accumulation of yellow cards. Victor Lindelof and Marcus Danielson, who was on the scoresheet against Croatia, ought to pair up at the heart of the Swedish defense, with the duo likely to be flanked by Mikael Lustig and Pierre Bengtsson on the right and left sides, respectively. Emil Forsberg should start on the left side of the midfield four and act as the main source of creativity for the visitors, with Sebastian Larsson slotting in on the opposite flank. Kristoffer Olsson should hold on to his spot in the center of the park but will have a change of partners as Mattias Svanberg could step in for the suspended Ekdal. Marcus Berg should once again start in the two-pronged strikeforce alongside Juventus starlet Dejan Kulusevski, who was on target last time out. Alexander Isak will provide additional firepower from the bench.
Sweden (4-4-2): Olsen; Lustig, Lindelof, Danielson, Bengtsson; Larsson, Olsson, Svanberg, Forsberg; Kulusevski, Berg

France will play with the mixed team but they will try to redeem for the embarrassing loss against Finland when they were incapable to create and score. They should be favorites to win this game despite Sweden's need to steal a point or victory and try to avoid relegation.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
