The two great attacking sides, Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund face each other on Saturday.
Freiburg will be looking to keep their unbeaten home run intact when Dortmund visit on Saturday. Christian Streich's side came unstuck last Sunday, suffering one of their heaviest defeats of the season, 3-0 at the hands of Wolfsburg. It was the first time since November that the Black Forest club have failed to score in the league. But in the home comforts of the Schwarzwald-Stadion - where Freiburg are unbeaten in six and have scored in every game - there is cause for optimism.
And in Demirovic, last summer's arrival from Alaves via St. Gallen, they have a player who has scored in three of his last four home games, all four of which have been wins. Demirovic may need help from the likes of Vincenzo Grifo and Lucas Höler in attack with Roland Sallai out with an ankle problem. Nils Petersen is another option in attack, but the Bundesliga's record scorer from the bench has been a sub in each of his last seven appearances. The match will be Freiburg's 700th, and Christian Streich's 275th, in the Bundesliga. He is the league's longest-serving coach, having been in charge since January 2012, spending only the 2015/16 campaign outside the top flight.
Freiburg: Müller - Lienhart, Schlotterbeck, Gulde - Schmid, Santamaria, Höfler, Günter (c) - Höler, Demirovic, Grifo
Out: Flekken (elbow), Kwon (knee), Sallai (ankle)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Christian Streich
Dortmund may have returned to winning ways last Saturday, beating Augsburg 3-1, but they were taken to extra-time by Bundesliga 2 side Paderborn in the DFB Cup last 16 on Tuesday, and a trip to Freiburg might not provide much respite for Edin Terzic's men. BVB needed an extra-time winner from Haaland to book their place in the Cup quarter-finals. Dortmund's No.9 cut an exhausted figure at full-time, while Jadon Sancho was withdrawn with a muscular injury.
Julian Brandt started in central midfield last weekend, but Jude Bellingham and Emre Can are pushing for a place alongside Thomas Delaney. First-choice goalkeeper Roman Bürki remains out with a shoulder injury, meaning Swiss compatriot Marwin Hitz should keep his place. Haaland is third in the current Bundesliga scoring charts, but second best for minutes per goal (84) behind Robert Lewandowski (63). Sancho failed to score in the first 13 matches of the season but has struck three times in six games in 2021.
Dortmund: Hitz - Morey, Akanji, Hummels, Guerreiro - Bellingham, Delaney - Sancho, Reus (c), Reyna - Haaland
Out: Bürki (shoulder), Hazard (thigh), Schmelzer (knee), Witsel (Achilles tendon), Zagadou (hamstring)
Doubtful: Meunier (knee)
Coach: Edin Terzic

Freiburg is feeling more comfortable playing at home and Dortmund have lost three of their last four away league games. Both teams to score looks like a sure bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
