Borussia Mönchengladbach seeks to end a remarkable 18-year away-day jinx against Freiburg on Saturday.
Gladbach nor Freiburg didn't win away in their last 24 top-flight meetings and the tradition is something that hosts need before this match. Freiburg comes into the game worryingly close to the bottom three after a bad string of results. Christian Streich's men have not won since the opening day of the season, and are just two points clear of the relegation/promotion play-off spot. They ended a run of three straight defeats with a 1-1 draw at Augsburg last weekend in which summer signing Ermedin Demirovic made his first Bundesliga start.
