Fulham host Brighton at the Craven Cottage (London) in the 13th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Wednesday, December 16.
FULHAM VS BRIGHTON MATCH ANALYSIS
Fulham made a slow start to the season with eight defeats in twelve games, but with a surprising win at Leicester (1-2) in Round 10 and the latest draw against the defending champions Liverpool (1-1) they have added the second win and draw to their tally. However, they still haven’t escaped the drop zone as Burnley beat Arsenal at the emirates. They remain in 18th place with 10 points ahead of the Wednesday match. As for Brighton, the Seagulls were on a little three-game unbeaten run in the top division (W1, D2) before their back-to-back defeats - to Southampton at home (1-2) and Leicester away(3-0), which saw them remain in 16th place with 10 points.
The last season's play-off winners in the Championship were exposed in first twelve matches for all their shortcomings and weaknesses, and they will have to raise their game significantly if they want to avoid the drop. The Cottagers have made their worst ever start in a top-flight after the first six games (D1 L5) , but with a win in round 7 (2-0 against West Brom), they had avoided their worst run of games ever. Since then, they have picked up three more defeats, one win, and a draw in their next five fixtures (W1, D1 L3).
As for their most recent game on Sunday, the Reds were somewhat fortunate to come away with a draw from a game in which they were second best for large periods to an impressive Fulham. Bobby Decordova-Reid had given Fulham the lead during a first-half which the Cottagers dominated and would have scored more were it not for the returning Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson. The home side, who beat Leicester a couple of games ago, gave Man City a good game and were superior to the champions for much of the 90 minutes will welcome the Seagulls in excellent form.
Brighton, similarly to their midweek hosts, were always going to struggle this season. Apart from Maupay, their new young full-back Lamptey and cenre-back Ben White, who have been stand-out performers so far, there are not too many positives for Graham Potter. The Seagulls aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Southampton and Leicester. However, considering that Brighton have been struggling at the back of late, and with the likes of Lallana, Izquierdo, and Walton remaining in the recovery room, while Tete and Kongolo are unlikely to feature, too, they will have a tough test in London.
Brighton were uncharacteristically poor at the weekend and Potter will know that a third successive defeat here could see them drop into the relegation zone. James Maddison scored twice and Vardy added the third in a relentless first-half display by Leicester, which left Potter’s men in the 16th, just two points above the relegation places following Fulham's draw against the champions. If Tariq Lamptey returns, which looks on cards, Potter will probably revert to a back three formation.

Fulham have won just one of their last seven league meetings with Brighton (D1 L5), and Brighton have scored at least twice in each of their last seven meetings in all competitions with Fulham (W5 D1 L1).
Fulham’s raft of new signings have certainly settled now and they could leapfrog their visitors with a win.
Brighton were uncharacteristically poor at the weekend and Potter will know that a third successive defeat here could see them drop into the relegation zone.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
