Fulham host Burnley at the Craven Cottage (London) in the 35th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Monday, May 10. Read our reasons for Fulham vs Burnley prediction and betting tips.
A six-match winless run, losing five, means Fulham are currently nine points off safety with four games to play and they need to turn their form around at Craven Cottage. Burnley are all but safe, so may take their eye off the ball here. Burnley have lost four of their last five matches, but a 4-0 win at Wolves last month effectively sealed their Premier League spot. Four of their five away wins this season have come in their last eight outings on the road, and they have won two of their last three trips to west London. The Clarets could secure a top-flight spot and potentially relegate Fulham in the process.
Time is running out for Fulham, as they remain nine points adrift of safety in the Premier League. Just a few months ago, it seemed as though they had the quality to get the points required to make a fight for survival. However, a run of five defeats in their previous six means that a safety push looks incredibly unlikely with four games of the season remaining. They will need to win all remaining games to stand a chance, which looks virtually impossible, given that they have won just five games all season to this point.
Fulham have only picked up one point from their last six games following a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge. The Cottagers have admittedly had a tough run of fixtures but being nine points from safety with four games left is a bleak proposition. Scott Parker insists the Whites still believe they can avoid the drop. However, the goals they give away are too easy, too many small mistakes. Fulham’s miserable home record reads 11 losses, four draws, and just two wins, with only nine goals scored and 24 conceded.
As for Burnley, they are still not mathematically safe after going down 2-1 to high-flying West Ham at Turf Moor on Monday. Chris Wood put the Clarets in front from the penalty spot after 19 minutes but 10 minutes later they were behind due to a Michail Antonio brace. The Hammers missed several chances to add to their lead before Burnley rallied, with Josh Brownhill bringing an excellent save from Lukasz Fabianski and Jay Rodriguez flashing a shot wide.
The Clarets went goal crazy previously, as they secured a very rare 4-0 win against Wolves. Chris Wood’s form throughout the season has been strong, which was on display against West Ham, as well, as he scored his seventh goal in as many games. The Clarets have already won 3-0 at Craven Cottage in the FA Cup this season and have a decent away record - they had also won away to Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Everton since the turn of the year. Sean Dyche’s side can call time on Fulham’s bid to stay up with a win here.

Fulham meet Burnley having previously won eight of their last nine home league meetings with the Clarets, with the only blip in that run a 2-3 loss in March 2016 in the Championship. Burnley have won just one of their five Premier League meetings with Fulham (D2, L2), losing both visits to Craven Cottage by an aggregate score of 7-2. However, Burnley beat Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage in the FA Cup earlier this season.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
