FULHAM VS LIVERPOOL MATCH ANALYSIS
Fulham made a slow start to the season with eight defeats in eleven games, but with a surprising win at Leicester (1-2), they have added the second win to their tally, as they have escaped the drop zone. They remain in 17th place with 7 points after a 2-0 defeat against Man City last weekend. As for Liverpool, they are 2nd in the standings with 21 points, only on goal difference below the Spurs. After they comfortably dispatched Wolves (4-0), they are now unbeaten in the last seven league matches (W4, D3) since their defeat at the hands of Aston Villa.
The last season's play-off winners in the Championship were exposed in the first eleven matches for all their shortcomings and weaknesses, and they will have to raise their game significantly if they want to avoid the drop. The Cottagers have made their worst ever start in a top-flight after the first six games (D1 L5), but with a win in round 7 (2-0 against West Brom), they had avoided their worst run of games ever. Since then, they have picked up one more win, Leicester away (1-2) in their next four fixtures (W1, L3), before losing to City.
As for that game, Raheem Sterling's strike and a Kevin de Bruyne penalty made it back-to-back wins for City, who were vastly superior to the Cottagers, but also wasteful in front of goal. Fulham spent most of the game on the back foot, but they at least tried to threaten Man City, hoping they could repeat the performance from the King Power Stadium on Monday. An eighth defeat of the season means the Cottagers are dangerously close to the drop, being only one point better off than West Brom and Burnley.
Liverpool, on the other hand, got off to a great start of the campaign with three wins, but then the Reds hit the wall against Villa, shipping 7 goals in the process. It was the first time Liverpool had conceded seven goals since 1963 and it was only their fourth Premier League defeat since January 2019. However, they bounced back with an eight-game unbeaten run (W6-D2) in all competitions, before losing to Atalanta at home in the CL. Meanwhile, they have qualified to knock-out stages as group winners and thrashed Wolves at Anfield.
Defending champions Liverpool welcomed the return of fans to Anfield for the first time since March with an emphatic victory over Wolves. Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead in the first half, and goals from Wijnaldum and Matip followed. Nelson Semedo's scrambled own goal set the final 4-0. Liverpool have won 31 of their last 32 home league games and the win also keeps Liverpool level on points with league leaders Tottenham.

None of Fulham’s 14 Premier League home games against Liverpool have finished level, with the Cottagers winning just five to the Reds’ nine.
Fulham have conceded in 10 of 11 games so far, while Liverpool have scored in all of their games. Since Virgil van Dijk's injury against Everton, the Reds have conceded just six goals in 11 games in all competitions, keeping six clean sheets in the process.
More tellingly, they have also won their last 18 Premier League matches against newly-promoted teams.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
