Middlesbrough is set to welcome Fulham back to
Championship at Craven Cottage on Sunday 8th, 2021. This comes after
Fulham regelation from Premier League. Read our reason for Fulham vs. Middlesbrough
prediction and betting tips.
Fulham has suffered a blow with their failure to
preserve their Premier League status. The Cottagers have endured a difficult
season following promotion. They ended 18th with only four
victories. Though the club hasn't played many preseason games. They defeated
Charlton Athletic 1-0 in their lone meeting. This performance cannot be
utilized to infer their shape.
Middlesbrough will face his long-time adversary, with
whom he last competed in the Championship League in 2019, before the
latter's promotion. Neil Warnock's men are anticipating a stern test in Sunday's derby.
Middlesbrough performed admirably in preseason
friendly, losing just one of five matches. The noteworthy one is a 7-0 away
victory over Tavistock. Middlesbrough ended 10th place with 64 points. Unlike their rivals, the squad appears to be on the
verge of reclaiming the Championship.
Both teams appear to have strengthened their squads
throughout the summer transfer window. Middlesbrough have announced the
acquisition of three players: Matt Crooks, Uche Ikpeazu, and Argentine attacker
Martin Payero. Their participation in Sunday's encounter, however, has not been
confirmed.
Fulham raised the bar for summer acquisitions by
signing Harry Wilson from Liverpool, goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, and
Jean-Michael Seri. Additionally, the squad has a new manager in Marco Silva, a
former Everton manager. Silva is well-known for his goal-oriented nature, and
this Sunday is a very significant day for him.
Both clubs have made significant roster additions,
which is why this may be a tough derby. Fulham possesses a goal-scoring
"machine" in the form of Aleksandar Mitrovic. The explosive striker
has tallied more than 50 goals for the squad, which can't be ignored. Middlesbrough has also benefited from the transfer market by acquiring
crucial players.
Fulham has won three, drawn two, and lost one of their
past six head-to-head meetings. Fulham has failed to score in two of their
four home matches and has lost to Middlesbrough once. Neil's team will need to
work hard to ensure that history favors Silva, who is eager to
demonstrate his abilities as the new manager. Neil is also eager to get his
second season at Riverside off to a winning start.
Additionally, both sides have been known to draw or score fewer than three total match goals in most games. Both clubs are adamant about not beginning the season with a loss. At Craven, it appears as though it will be illuminated.
Fulham (4-2-3-1): Gazzaniga; Tete, Tosin, Ream, Robinson, Anguissa, Seri, Knockaert, Carvalho, Wilson and Mitrović.
Suspended: None
Injured: None
Middlesbrough (4-3-3): Lumley, Dijksteel, Fry, Hall, Jones, McNair, Watmore, Ikpeazu, Howson, Crooks, and Morsy.
Suspended: None
Injured: None

Fulham has an excellent squad and Mitrovic is a player to watch. Silva is adamant about concealing his failure as he begins work at Cottage. Additionally, Fulham benefits from hosting the game. Middlesbrough is hardly a weak team, but Fulham appears to have a stronger squad.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
