Juventus have Alvaro Morata available for the match against struggling Genoa on Sunday, but they’ve encountered trouble at the Marassi before.
Genoa is at 19th place in the standings, and desperate to score points against the reigning champions. They are currently on a run of four consecutive defeats in Serie A and Rolando Maran’s position is increasingly uncertain at the Grifoni. The Rossoblu have never lost five straight games in Serie A before but Juventus is not the rival you want in the next game when you try to make things around.
Genoa had all three points in their bag in Florence when Nikola Milenkovic grabbed the equalizer for Viola seven minutes into stoppages. Marko Pjaca had given Genoa the lead after 89 minutes and the Rossoblu seemed to have nicked the match at the death, but with seven minutes added on, the Viola managed to respond for a final 1-1 draw. Giacomo Bonaventura thought he had scored his first for Fiorentina, but his goal was ruled out for a foul in the build-up, while Mattia Destro's goal was disallowed due to an offside position.
Genoa (4-4-2): Paleari; Ghiglione, Goldaniga, Bani, Masiello; Lerager, Badelj, Sturaro, Pellegrini; Scamacca, Shomodurov
Suspended: none
Injured: Cassata, Biraschi, Criscito, Zappacosta, Melegoni, Perin, Marchetti, Zapata
Stadio Luigi Ferraris of Genoa is the stadium where Juventus have lost the most games in Serie A since 2011-12, three against Sampdoria and three against Genoa. On Sunday, they will have Morata back in action in the League and are fresh from finishing first above Barcelona in the group stage of the Champions League. Juventus are on a mission to hunt down League leaders Milan and must continue with a convincing performance, having drawn five of their first 10 games in the competition. Juventus sit fourth in the table ahead of the match, but as one of five teams unbeaten in the top five European Leagues this term; together with Milan, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, and Wolfsburg.
Juve had a very interesting week, they recovered from an awful first half and Nicolas Nkoulou opener, turning it around to beat Torino with Weston McKennie and Leonardo Bonucci headers after Cuadrado assists in a dramatic Derby Della Mole. A few days later, a pair of Cristiano Ronaldo penalties and Weston McKennie's acrobatic volley allowed Juventus to humiliate Barcelona 3-0 at Camp Nou and win their Champions League group.
Juventus (3-4-1-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Chiesa, McKennie, Bentancur, Cuadrado; Kulusevski; Morata, Ronaldo
Suspended: Pinsoglio
Injured: Buffon, Demiral, Chiellini

It could be said that Juventus turned their season around in one game after an impressive performance against Barcelona but they need to ride the momentum and win a couple of games in Serie A to close the gap to Milan. Away win is the most reasonable betting option here.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
