Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways in La Liga when they travel to Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Saturday night to take on Getafe.
Getafe and Barcelona square off against each other in a highly-anticipated game at Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Los Azulones aim to bounce back from a heavy 3-0 loss to Real Sociedad, but keeping their 100% record home intact is easier said than done. Getafe boss Pepe Bordalas has a full squad to choose from ahead of the visit of Barcelona.
Getafe have made an encouraging start to their 2020-21 La Liga campaign, picking up seven points from their four matches to sit seventh in the table, just three points behind early leaders Real Madrid. The capital side started their season with a 1-0 win over Osasuna, before drawing 0-0 at Alaves one week later. Another victory arrived at the home to Real Betis at the end of September, but Jose Bordalas's side suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Real Sociedad just before the international break. Getafe finished eighth in La Liga last season, missing out on a spot in the Europa League by two points, but they did reach the last-16 stage of Europe's second competition.
The Catalan giants are on a quest to regain the La Liga title. Barca aim to return to winning ways after dropping two points in a 1-1 draw with Sevilla, and they should take advantage of the fact that there will be no spectators at Coliseum Alfonso Perez. The good news for the visitors is that important defender Clement Lenglet returns to the starting XI after serving his ban before the international break.
As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Argentine superstar Leo Messi, who was on Man City’s radar during the summer transfer window. Lionel Messi has allegedly been impressed by Koeman's work since replacing Quique Setien as head coach, and it is vital that Barca pick up a positive result this weekend considering that they will welcome Real Madrid to Camp Nou for the first Clasico of the season on October 24.

Barca will be determined to put three points on the board ahead of their clash with Real Madrid, and we are expecting the visitors to triumph on Saturday. Getafe are capable of pulling off a big result, but the fact that they have not beaten Barca since 2011 must be taken into consideration.
So, our Getafe vs Barcelona Prediction is Barca to win to nil.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
