Hertha will hope to get a second straight home win at the Olympiastadion when they host Hoffenheim on Tuesday.
Last Hertha home match - a 3-0 win over Schalke is what the fans are hoping to get more often and they will look for a similar result this time to help them push further clear of the relegation zone. Hertha is 13th in the table following a 0-0 draw at third-bottom Koln on Saturday - when Guendouzi struck the post with time running out - and Bruno Labbadia could do with six-goal leading goalscorer Matheus Cunha being fit again.
The Brazilian - who scored in Hertha's 3-0 away win at Hoffenheim in May - has missed the last two matches with a groin problem. He could be back in midweek to form an exciting attacking partnership with Colombian Jhon Cordoba, although the in-form Krzysztof Piatek is waiting in the wings. Cordoba has scored three goals against Hoffenheim - more than any other Bundesliga opponent - but has never finished up on the winning team (D1, L5).
Hertha: Schwolow - Pekarik, Stark (c), Alderete, Mittelstädt - Darida, Tousart, Guendouzi - Lukebakio - Cordoba, Piatek
Out: Boyata (foot), Dilrosun (knee), Löwen (thigh), Plattenhardt (muscular)
Doubtful: Cunha (groin), Ngankam (thigh)
Coach: Bruno Labbadia
Hoffenheim were held to a scoreless draw at home to fellow strugglers Arminia Bielefeld last time out, which did at least end a two-game losing run. They have only one win from six league matches, however, so Sebastian Hoeneß - who knows Hertha well from his playing days - could do with eight-goal striker Andrej Kramaric ending his three-game run without a goal. Kramaric netted in a 3-2 win for Hoffenheim on their last visit to the capital to play Hertha when Kevin Vogt was at the heart of the defense.
Vogt went off with a dislocated thumb at half-time against Bielefeld, with Havard Nordtveit standing in for him. Whoever anchors the defense will not have Ryan Sessegnon to the left of them, the Tottenham Hotspur-own full-back not fit in time following injury. Hoffenheim coach Sebastian Hoeneß got as far as the Hertha reserves in his 10 years at the club as a player, so with pressure mounting, he can give himself a boost with a win against the homegrown club.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Posch, Nordveit, Adams, Rudy - Samassekou, John - Kramaric, Baumgartner - Bebou, Belfodil
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hamstring), Hübner (ankle), Sessegnon (match fitness), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Grillitsch (abdominals), Kaderabek (calf), Skov (muscular)
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
