Hoffenheim is in the must-win state of mind as they look to bounce back against Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday.
There's no team in the Bundesliga looking for more of a bounce-back result this weekend than Hoffenheim. Hoffenheim have lost four of their last five Bundesliga games and are yet to pick up a point in 2021. They were the victims of Schalke's first victory in 30 matches last Saturday, losing 4-0 at the Veltins-Arena. Sebastian Hoeneß had made several changes for the trip to Gelsenkirchen, and the Hoffenheim coach would like to restore some established first-team regulars like Sessegnon, Robert Skov, and Florian Grillitsch, but full fitness still eludes the latter two while Sessegnon only returned to training this week.
Melayro Bogarde could push into midfield, Hoeneß hinting recently that he believes the 18-year-old Dutchman's best position would be in the center of the pitch. Christoph Baumgartner is suspended for the first time this season having received his fifth yellow card of the campaign, which could see Andrej Kramaric drop into the No.10 role. Hoffenheim have won 10 points from the five games in which Kramaric has scored this season. When the club's top scorer hasn't found the net, Hoffenheim has won only once and claimed just five points from 10 games.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Posch, Adams, Vogt, Sessegnon - Bogarde, Samassekou - Bebou, Kramaric, Gacinovic - Belfodil
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Baumgartner (suspended), Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hamstring), Grillitsch (abdominals), Hübner (ankle), Skov (muscular), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Kaderabek (muscular), Nordtveit (thigh), Rudy (knee), Sessegnon
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß
Meanwhile, Bielefeld has won three of their last six Bundesliga outings and have conceded as many goals (24) as league leaders Bayern Munich. After Hoffenheim's defeat on Saturday, Bielefeld closed to within just two points of their hosts with their win over Hertha Berlin on Sunday. It was last season's Bundesliga 2 champions' fourth 1-0 result in a row, of which two have been wins.
Reinhold Yabo was restored to the starting lineup and scored the winner, so should keep his place on the opposite flank to Ritsu Doan, who was once again an inspirational attacking influence on Uwe Neuhaus' side. Manuel Prietl was missing through injury last time out, and Fabian Kunze should continue in his place. Arne Maier is another option in midfield after returning from injury off the bench last Sunday.
Bielefeld: Ortega - Brunner, Pieper, Nilsson, Laursen - Kunze - Doan, Hartel, Yabo - Klos (c), Cordova
Out: -
Doubtful: Prietl (muscular), Voglsammer (calf)
Coach: Uwe Neuhaus

Hoffenheim is the only team this season yet to claim a clean sheet and Bielefeld could be more adventurous to claim a victory here as their confidence is rising. Both teams to score looks like a legitimate bet even with these teams struggling to find the net regularly in the new season.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
