Hoffenheim take on Molde in the second leg of their Europa League after last week's 3-3 draw on neutral territory in Spain. Read our reasons for Hoffenheim vs Molde prediction and betting tips.
Hoffenheim picked up their first win in almost a month thanks to a dominant performance in a 4-0 victory at home to Werder Bremen on Sunday. Sebastian Hoeneß’s side pushed Borussia Dortmund all the way last week, only to be denied late on in a 2-2 draw, but the win never appeared in much danger this time. Chris Richards headed narrowly over from a free-kick before Ihlas Bebou gave Hoffenheim the lead, beating the offside trap to latch onto Diadie Samassekou’s long ball over the defense and coolly stroke it past Pavlenka. Baumgartner gave the hosts a deserved two-goal cushion at the interval when he surged between Ömer Toprak and Marco Friedl on the edge of the area to poke in his team’s second on the stroke of half-time. Hoffenheim put the game beyond Bremen’s reach early in the second half when Bebou scampered down the right-wing to cross from the byline into the middle, where the unmarked Munas Dabbur was lurking, and the Israel international made no mistake from six yards. The home side shifted down a gear or two in the closing stages, the points already in the bag, and had little trouble keeping an off-color Bremen side at bay. They added further gloss to the scoreline late on when 18-year-old Bundesliga debutant Georginio Rutter rifled in from the edge of the area as Hoffenheim moved above their visitors in the table.
Hoffenheim remains without several first-team players, although their top goalscorer Andrej Kramaric returned sooner than expected as a substitute in the win over Bremen on Saturday and could start against Molde. Mijat Gacinovic, Stefan Posch, Robert Skov, Havard Nordtveit, Kevin Akpoguma, Dennis Geiger, Ermin Bicakcic, Benjamin Hubner, and Kostas Stafylidis are all likely to remain unavailable due to injury.
Hoffenheim: Baumann; Kasim, Vogt, Richards; Gacinovic, Rudy, Samassekou, John; Baumgartner; Dabbur, Kramaric
These two sides contested an entertaining 3-3 draw during last week’s first-leg that was played on neutral territory in Spain, with Molde coming from 2-0 and 3-1 down to salvage a share of the spoils. Molde has also been involved in entertaining games of late, as seven of their last eight competitive matches have seen over 3.5 goals scored. The Norwegian side has also seen at least four goals scored in four of their last five Europa League matches and they have netted in their previous six away games in the competition.
Molde will travel to Germany without Ola Brynhildsen, who is recovering from a fractured leg, but otherwise, they appear to have a clean bill of health to choose from. Coach Moe is unlikely to change anything from the XI which performed admirably in Villarreal last week, although Fofana will be hoping for a start after scoring from the bench.
Molde: Linde; Pedersen, Bjornbak, Gregersen, Haugen; Bolly, Aursnes, Ellingsen, Andersen; Sigurdarson, Eikrem

Lately, Hoffenheim raised their goalscoring abilities and pick up a few points for a comfortable place in the Bundesliga standings but their defensive record is still a major doubt. Our final Hoffenheim vs Molde prediction is both teams to score.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
