Hoffenheim is eager to bring back Andrej Kramaric - the September Player of the Month - against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.
Croatian international Kramaric earned his Player of the Month award after scoring six goals in the opening three games of the campaign - including two in the 4-1 win over Bayern Munich. In isolation since the previous international break, Andrej has been working on his match fitness in time to return to action for this weekend. Hoffenheim need their talisman back with Sebastian Hoeneß's side scoring just three goals in the four games they have played in the Bundesliga without the 29-year-old forward. Kramaric has only played three of Hoffenheim's seven Bundesliga games and still scored over half of their goals (six of 11).
Since Croatia forward has been absent, the Sinsheimers have only picked up one point from five games. Kramaric's return would be a boost with both Ishak Belfodil and Munas Dabbur missing for this weekend. Melayro Bogarde should continue in a three-man defense after his impressive start to Bundesliga life, with Havard Nordtveit also set to slot into the backline with match fitness still eluding club captain Benjamin Hübner. Hoffenheim have flourished on the continent this season, winning three games with an aggregate score of 11-1 - a UEFA Europa League-best record.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Bogarde, Nordtveit, Akpoguma - Kaderabek, Grillitsch, Samassekou, Sessegnon - Baumgartner, Kramaric - Bebou
Out: Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hand), Hübner (ankle), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Adamyan (not included), Belfodil (not included), Bruun Larsen (not included), Dabbur (not included), Posch (ankle), Rudy (not included), Skov (not included), Vogt (not included)
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß
As you can see Hoffenheim is missing several first-team players, but Stuttgart coach Pellegrino Matarazzo has a near full squad to choose from. The promoted outfit have been one of the surprise packages of the season and sit eighth coming into this weekend. Stuttgart is now unbeaten in six Bundesliga games (two wins, four draws).
One of their stars so far, despite missing the first three games, is last season's top scorer Nicolas Gonzalez. The 22-year-old has hit the ground running since returning from injury and added to his bright start with two goals in as many games for Argentina during the international break. Gonzalez - Stuttgart's 14-goal top scorer last season - has scored in each of his last two matches since returning from injury.
Gonzalez should lead the Stuttgart attack with Gonzalo Castro and October Rookie of the Month winner Mateo Klimowicz the closest in support. Otherwise, bar long-term absences for the likes of Konstantinos Mavropanos and Erik Thommy - the visiting squad is at full strength for the Bundesliga's return.
Stuttgart: Kobel - Stenzel, Anton, Kempf - Silas, Endo, Mangala, Sosa - Klimowicz, Castro (c) - Gonzalez
Out: Al Ghaddioui (pelvis), Mavropanos (knee), Thommy (elbow), Awoudja (Achilles tendon)
Doubtful: Kaminski (muscular), Mola (hip)
Coach: Pellegrino Matarazzo

Hoffenheim has injury and coronavirus crisis and they could struggle on the pitch once again. Stuttgart is full of confidence and the coach Matarazzo is one the most attacking-minded people in the Bundesliga. Both teams to score seems like a reasonable bet and Stuttgart can steal a win here.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
