Hoffenheim will have the boost after Andrej Kramarić recovered at the PreZero Arena on Monday but Union Berlin is a tough rival for any team in the Bundesliga.
Kramaric has been in isolation following international duty with Croatia but is in contention on Matchday 6. The Bundesliga September Player of the Month had been in brilliant former prior to the October international break, scoring six goals across Hoffenheim's first three league matches of the new campaign. He also scored twice in the DFB Cup first round, having ended the previous season with five goals in two matches, including a four-goal blitz against Borussia Dortmund. In his absence, Hoffenheim lost 1-0 to BVB and drew 1-1 with Werder Bremen. UEFA Europa League group-stage football has only added to the workload, with Sebastian Hoeneß's team beating Red Star Belgrade a week ago and running out 4-1 winners at Gent on Thursday. Ishak Belfodil and Munas Dabbur filled the Kramaric void with a goal each, while Ihlas Bebou produced an assist. Tottenham Hotspur loanee Ryan Sessegnon was also impressed and could be rewarded with his full Bundesliga debut.
Hoffenheim has as many points (seven) on the board after five matches as they did in the same period in two of former coach Julian Nagelsmann’s campaigns in charge. They are the only team in Europe to have beaten Bayern Munich in 2020. Kramaric scored a brace in that game and has scored six of his team’s nine Bundesliga goals in 2020/21.
Hoffenheim: Baumann - Posch, Vogt, Akpoguma - Rudy, Samassekou, Geiger, Skov - Baumgartner - Bebou, Dabbur
Out: Bicakcic (knee), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Adams (not included), Hübner (ankle), Kaderabek (not included), Kramaric (not included)
Coach: Sebastian Hoenes
Five Bundesliga matches without defeat would be a new club record for a minor team from Berlin. Union’s eight Bundesliga goals so far this term have been scored by seven different players. Only leaders RB Leipzig have a greater spread (eight players). Defender Nico Schlotterbeck and forward Anthony Ujah are definitely out, but midfielder Grischa Prömel could return to the squad after missing the 1-1 draw with Freiburg, which extended Union's unbeaten run to four matches. Max Kruse provided the assist for Robert Andrich last time out and has now had a direct hand in two of Die Eisernen's last six Bundesliga goals, having opened his account in the 4-0 drubbing of Mainz on Matchday 3 - his new club's only league win of the season. Kruse has a goal and assists to show his first three Bundesliga appearances in a Union shirt. He has scored more goals against Hoffenheim than any other Bundesliga club (seven in 14 meetings). New favorites of head coach Urs Fischer, Bayer Leverkusen loanee forward Joel Pohjanpalo, and Dutchman Sheraldo Becker should continue in attack.
Union: Luthe - Trimmel (c), Friedrich, Knoche, Lenz - Gentner, Andrich - Becker, Kruse, Bülter - Pohjanpalo
Out: Schlotterbeck (hamstring), Ujah (knee)
Doubtful: Karius (foot)
Coach: Urs Fischer

It could be a beautiful piece of football when these teams met because of their very different styles. Kramarić could be an awesome help for Hoffenheim offense but Union showed they are well organized and willing to score after counters. Both teams to score is the most reasonable bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
