After a rollercoaster midweek performance in the Europa League Hoffenheim host Werder. Read our reasons for Hoffenheim vs Werder prediction and betting tips.
Molde and Hoffenheim had a great 3-3 draw on Thursday, the German side had the two-goal advantage and missed a penalty, and gave hope for the rematch to Norwegians who played as hosts in Spain. Hoffenheim was unlucky not to come away with three points from their trip to the Signal Iduna Park last Saturday. A late Erling Haaland goal earned Borussia Dortmund a point and with a growing injury list to deal with, coach Sebastian Hoeneß will be eager to get his side back to winning ways against Bremen on Sunday. Kevin Vogt picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign which means he is suspended, while Stefan Posch has also been ruled out for the visit of Bremen. USMNT defender Chris Richards missed the trip to Dortmund after a knock-in training but should be back at the perfect time to slot straight into the Hoffenheim defense.
Top scorer Andrej Kramaric was another injury absentee at Dortmund, and the Croatian forward remains a doubt for this coming weekend with his ankle complaint. Munas Dabbur - who scored Hoffenheim's first in the 2-2 draw at Dortmund - should keep his place alongside Ihlas Bebou. Mijat Gacinovic could be restored at right wing-back, meanwhile, having been displaced by Pavel Kaderabek last weekend.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Adams, Grillitsch, Richards - Gacinovic, Rudy, Samassekou, John - Baumgartner - Bebou, Dabbur
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Bicakcic (knee), Geiger (hamstring), Hübner (ankle), Nordtveit (foot), Stafylidis (shoulder), Vogt (suspended)
Doubtful: Kramaric (ankle), Sessegnon (thigh), Skov (knee)
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß
While Hoffenheim's struggle for consistency continues, Bremen appears to have found theirs in recent weeks. The Green-Whites have stabilized in mid-table, level on points with their hosts heading into Sunday's clash. Florian Kohfeldt's side held Freiburg to a 0-0 draw last weekend making it two points from their last two games in the Bundesliga. Like Hoffenheim, Bremen has injury concerns in defense. Marco Friedl missed training all week with an ankle problem, while Ludwig Augustinsson and Milos Veljkovic are also facing late fitness tests.
Bremen have the joint-best defense in the Bundesliga in 2021; conceding just six goals from seven games. Niklas Moisander is expected to come in for Friedl, while Felix Agu and Christian Groß are also on standby should they be needed come Sunday. Upfront, Milot Rashica, and Romano Schmid is likely to support Josh Sargent in attack once more. This game is a meeting of the two most fouled teams in the league this season (Bremen 309, Hoffenheim 281).
Bremen: Pavlenka - Veljkovic, Toprak, Moisander - Gebre Selassie (c), Eggestein, Möhwald, Augustinsson - Schmid, Rashica - Sargent
Out: Erras (muscular), Plogmann (knee)
Doubtful: Friedl (ankle)
Coach: Florian Kohfeldt

In Bundesliga games played after a midweek Europa League outing, Hoffenheim have won only one of six league matches (two draws, three defeats). Both teams to score is the most reasonable betting option.
Our final Hoffenheim vs Werder prediction is both teams to score.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
