Will Andrej Kramaric be the man to break the league-leading defensive stronghold when Hoffenheim hosts record-chasing Wolfsburg on Saturday? Read our reasons for Hoffenheim vs Wolfsburg prediction and betting tips.
Kramaric will be a happy man if he does find the target this weekend, for several reasons. It would end a three-game run without scoring for Hoffenheim's 13-goal top scorer, and also bring an end to Wolfsburg's incredible seven-match run of clean sheets in the Bundesliga. Kramaric has contributed 17 of Hoffenheim's 37 Bundesliga goals this season (13 goals, four assists). He's scored three and assisted two in eight meetings with Wolfsburg. Hoffenheim has put together a three-match undefeated run of their own, with the most recent 1-1 draw at Union Berlin ending in disappointment after an array of missed chances in the German capital.
It was Ihlas Bebou who forced Nico Schlotterbeck's own-goal, and the in-form forward should remain alongside Kramaric in the attack. Florian Grillitsch came into the center of defense and despite conceding an early penalty against Union, should also keep his place in Sebastian Hoeneß's side. Meanwhile, Ryan Sessegnon is pushing for a start having come off the bench last time out. Marco John could make way on the left flank.
Hoffenheim: Baumann (c) - Vogt, Grillitsch, Richards - Kaderabek, Rudy, Samassekou, Sessegnon - Baumgartner - Bebou, Kramaric
Out: Akpoguma (hamstring), Bicakcic (knee), Gacinovic (ankle), Geiger (hamstring), Hübner (ankle), Nordtveit (foot), Posch (not included), Stafylidis (shoulder)
Doubtful: Belfodil (groin)
Coach: Sebastian Hoeneß
Standing in front of Kramaric and Hoffenheim is Bundesliga's best defense this season, which is also back to full strength. Brooks missed last weekend's 2-0 win over his former side Hertha Berlin with suspension, and he will slot straight back into the back four with his replacement for that game, Marin Pongracic, now suspended himself after a late sending off against the Old Lady. With Jerome Roussillon still, a doubt, and Wolfsburg is such strong league form, Hoeneß's opposite number Oliver Glasner is unlikely to make many changes from Wednesday's DFB Cup quarter-final loss to RB Leipzig, although club captain Josuha Guilavogui summer arrival Maximilian Philipp are among those on standby.
Weghorst has scored six and assisted three goals in five meetings with Hoffenheim, including a hat-trick and brace in two trips to Sinsheim. Casteels has not conceded a goal in 666 Bundesliga minutes. Another unblemished 23 minutes will put him outright fifth in the all-time Bundesliga rankings. Former Hoffenheim goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand holds the record for the longest run without conceding from his time at VfB Stuttgart (884 minutes). Wolfsburg's two league defeats this season have come on the road.
Wolfsburg: Casteels (c) - Mbabu, Lacroix, Brooks, Otavio - Schlager, Arnold - Baku, Gerhardt, Steffen - Weghorst
Out: Pongracic (suspended)
Doubtful: Roussillon (calf)
Coach: Oliver Glasner

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
