Football fans across the world are eager to witness an elite Italian Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Napoli on Wednesday evening.
Inter completed a spectacular comeback to beat Cagliari 3-1 in Sardinia, but it was only Alessio Cragno that stopped them from taking the lead earlier. The goalkeeper performed heroics with a series of first-half saves and the hosts then went in front through Riccardo Sottil’s impressive volley. However, it was Cagliari native Nicolò Barella who got Inter back into it with another excellent volley from the edge of the area. Danilo D’Ambrosio was only on the field for a minute after Achraf Hakimi’s injury when he got his head to a corner for 2-1. Cragno came up for a Cagliari corner in stoppages but was caught the wrong end of the pitch by Romelu Lukaku.
Inter's Achraf Hakimi will be assessed before kickoff due to an ankle injury that forced the former Real Madrid man off against Cagliari, so Matteo Darmian stands ready to deputize at wing-back. Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez should start ahead of Alexis Sanchez, who has a minor injury. As Arturo Vidal's participation is also in doubt and Christian Eriksen only earned the reproach of Antonio Conte for his weekend performance, Roberto Gagliardini will likely start in the three-man engine room. Fellow midfielders Matias Vecino and Radja Nainggolan are both still out.
Inter Milan (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic (GK); Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Ashley Young, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Gagliardini, Ivan Perisic; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez
Napoli substitutions made the difference against Sampdoria, as Chucky Lozano scored one and created the other for Andrea Petagna. Jakub Jankto had given Samp the deserved lead at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, sent clear by a Valerio Verre assist. Mexico international Lozano transformed the game after the break, as he scored with a rare header, fired another attempt against the post, and then provided the cross for Petagna to win it.
Napoli has confirmed that Victor Osimhen is still training separately from the Napoli squad and is set to miss out in Milan. Nigeria forward has been out of action since dislocating his shoulder on international duty last month, so Dries Mertens will start ahead of consistently effective substitute striker Andrea Petagna upfront. Gennaro Gattuso has an otherwise fully-fit squad available for the trip north, so must decide whether to recall Tiemoue Bakayoko to midfield and choose between rotating goalkeepers David Ospina and Alex Meret.
Napoli (4-2-3-1): David Ospina (GK); Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Konstantinos Manolas, Mario Rui; Fabian Ruiz, Tiemoue Bakayoko; Hirving Lozano, Piotr Zielinski, Lorenzo Insigne; Dries Mertens

Both teams had to make a turnaround to achieve a win at the weekend and are easy to expect something similar in a derby game with two great attacking lines. Both teams to score is almost a sure bet.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
