Inter Milan welcome Real Madrid in a crucial Group B match of the Champions League on Wednesday.
Inter is still without a win after three games and they are more than eager to get their revenge on Real Madrid for a 3-2 loss in the Spanish capital and increase their chances to grab one of two places that guarantee knockout stages. Inter started with a 2-2 stalemate against Monchengladbach on the home ground and had to settle for a goalless draw against Shakhtar Donetsk away in a match where they had numerous chances to find a back of the net. In the third game, they were defeated 3-2 vs Real, another match that should go in their direction if the chances conversation rate was a little higher.
They had another wild game at San Siro on Sunday, as Torino took a 2-0 lead and seemed destined for a shock victory, only for Inter to turn it around and win 4-2. Simone Zaza still gave the guests a deserved lead on the counter-attack. VAR was used to give Cristian Ansaldi a penalty for 2-0, but that woke the Nerazzurri up for a furious comeback. Within a few minutes, it was 2-2 through Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, then VAR intervened again for a Lukaku penalty, as Achraf Hakimi was not offside following a second Nicolas Nkoulou touch. Lautaro Martinez completed the route on a Lukaku assist.
Marcelo Brozovic, Aleksandar Kolarov, Daniele Padelli, Matias Vecino, and Stefano Sensi are all major doubts and expected to sit this one out, while Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar are likely to be in the starting lineup.
Inter Milan (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic (GK); Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Achraf Hakimi, Nicolo Barella, Arturo Vidal, Roberto Gagliardini, Ivan Perisic; Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku
Real have their problems, shaky results, and performances are not welcomed in this stage of the season, with rumors that Zidane isn’t capable to preserve team chemistry on a decent level. They were handed a shocking defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk in the opener which was followed by a hard-fought draw against Monchengladbach. The win against Inter looked like a complete turnaround but recent results and performances are not helping with media and fans, certainly not good for confidence before a big match.
They had to settle for a point after a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Villarreal, which saw as an improvement after the break. Before going to represent their national teams, the Real players suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Valencia. Real played without Benzema and Jović vs Villareal but their substitute Mariano Diaz opened the scoring for Los Blancos just 105 seconds in, but Gerard Moreno scored from the spot to earn a point for the Yellow Submarine.
Real Madrid will be without captain Sergio Ramos, Federico Valverde, Luka Jovic, and Alvaro Odriozola, while Karim Benzema, Casemiro, and Eder Militao all missed the weekend draw with Villarreal but could return on Wednesday.
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Thibaut Courtois (GK); Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy; Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Luka Modric; Marco Asensio, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Jr.

It is hard to say that any of these sides have some big advantage, but Inter looks like a better team at the moment and must be a slight favorite. Both teams to score is the most reasonable betting option.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
