Italy (4-3-3) faces Bosnia and Hercegovina (4-3-3) at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Firenze in the first round of the UEFA Nations League on Friday 04 September 2020 at 20:45.
Italy is one of the favorite teams to pass this group stage as first. But to do that, they have to come focused on every single match, starting from the next one against Bosnia and Hercegovina this Friday evening.
This won't surely be an easy game for the popular “Azzurri”, since their opponents aren't coming in Italy to get beaten. Their coach, Roberto Mancini, who is living a very good first experience as coach of a National team, knows that, so he will prepare his players as better as he can.
Italian National team is full of extraordinary players, starting from young Intenazionale Milano's midfielder, Nicolo Barella, (3 goals and 2 assists in the qualification matches 2019/20) who has proved a lot of time how much he is important in both defensive and offensive phases, just like his teammate, Napoli's wing Lorenzo Insigne (3 goals and 1 assist in the qualification matches 2019/20) who can be very dangerous thanks to his skills with the ball and his velocity. He has proved a several times how hard it can be to defend him. Bosnia and Hercegovina's main problem will surely be Lazio's forward, Ciro Immobile, (3 goals and 2 assists in the qualification matches 2019/20) who recently equalized Gonzalo Higuain's record of goals in one season in Serie A (36). Bosnian defenders should better focus as much as they can on him.
As we take a look to the away team, we have Bosnia and Hercegovina, who will travel in the city of Firenze in Italy, with aim to win this hard game, and start as better as they can this National competition.
They are probably the underdogs in this group stage, and this doesn't make them feel happy, but this could be their chance to prove that everybody, me included, was wrong. The fact that a lot of people thinks that they are the underdogs, could be a sign for the players, who should better give everything they got and prove to the entire world of what they are made.
Their coach, Dusan Bajevic will motivate his players to play as better as they can, and bring back home in Bosnia at least 1 point. He knows he can count on all of his players, starting from Dinamo Zagreb's midfielder Amer Gojak (4 goals and 3 assists in the qualification matches 2019/20) and his partner, Barcelona's midfielder Miralem Pjanic (3 goals and 1 assist in the qualification matches 2019/20) to create some dangerous attempts, specially Miralem Pjanic, who known as one of the best assist-man in the world, thanks to his football intelligence. Italian defenders should better keep their eyes opened on a very known forward in Serie A, Roma's scorer Edin Dzeko (3 goals and 1 assist in the qualification matches 2019/20), who is also the capitain of the National team, who has proved many times how much deadly he can be in front of the goalkeeper.
These two clubs have faced each other twice in a official match before in their history. In both cases, Italy won.

This match will be full of goal chances. Since this will be their first game in this competition, both clubs will spend most of their time by attacking and trying to score, so that they can bring back home 3 important points and continue their road.
After all I said about these two teams and the match, I would rather think that Italy will win this match.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
