Italy meet England at the Wembley Stadium (London) in the EURO 2020 Final and the match kicks off at 8 pm (UK) on Sunday, July 11. Read our reason for Italy vs England prediction and betting tips.
ITALY VS ENGLAND, HOME ADVANTAGE TO SPUR THREE LIONS ON
Italy rode their luck against Spain in the semi-finals but eventually came through as winners on penalties. This is their second Euro final in three tournaments but they haven't won the competition since 1968 and have lost the last two times they've made the final and England beat Denmark 2-1 in extra-time on Wednesday night to qualify for their first major tournament final since 1966. They have failed to beat Italy in their last six encounters at major tournaments but have home advantage on their side on Sunday night. Having said that, the last home side to win a Euro final were France in 1984. Expect another nail-biting affai on Sunday between two great sides.
WILL THE AZZURRI TAKE IT TO ROME?...
Italy built up a ton of momentum after three group-stage wins made it 11 consecutive clean-sheet victories but have not been as convincing in the knockout rounds. The Azzurri needed extra time to beat Austria 2-1 and had to survive lots of late pressure when seeing off Belgium by the same scoreline. Roberto Mancini’s men then had just 30 per cent of the possession when drawing 1-1 with Spain, prior to prevailing on penalties.
However, Roberto Mancini’s conviction is that his team ought to be having fun and to bring a nation something to smile about after the horrors of the last year-and-a-half. Italy, who have not won the Euros since 1968, have not lost a game in almost three years. They are unbeaten in 33 matches and have now won 14 in a row, only conceding three times. They are on the verge of European glory for the first time since 1968 and we believe the Azzuri have what it takes to beat England.
TIP #1: It is hard to ignore the Azzurri’s 33-match unbeaten run and the odds for this tie to go to extra time stands out from the Italy vs England betting tips.
...OR IS IT FINALLY COMING HOME?
England certainly have one of the most talented squads in the tournament and were among the favourites since the beginning. Gareth Southgate successfully realised the team’s potential and took them all the way to the final. It took a hearty win against Germany in the Round of 16, followed by a 4-0 bashing of Ukraine in the quarterfinal and a consuming semifinal tie against Denmark that needed an extra-time Harry Kane winner to send England through to their first-ever Euro final.
Southgate has manoeuvred his England squad with great expertise throughout Euro 2020, demonstrating the riches he has at his disposal. On the other hand, to add little to Southgate's dissatisfaction, they have now conceded a goal at Euro 2020, though they are still to concede from open play. Southgate’sEngland squad has the sort of quality and depth that will make them confident they can finally end that 55-year wait for success.
TIP #2: Kane’s return to form has come at just the right time and looking at the England vs Denmark odds, we back the Tottenham striker to score at any time here.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
