Juventus (4-3-3) faces Sampdoria (4-4-2) at the Allianz Stadium in Turin in the first round of Serie A 2020/21 on Sunday 20 September 2020 at 20:45.
The popular “Vecchia Signora” is coming from their 9th title in a row, and they will try to do anything to achieve even the 10th. This will be a new Juventus, full of changes, starting from their new coach, legendary former AC Milan, Juventus and National team's midfielder Andrea Pirlo, who will live his first experience as coach, after a long career where he made fall in love all football fans with his intelligence of playing. He will do anything to achieve his first Serie A as a coach, and the players will do anything also to make him happy, but to do that, they first have to start this new season as better as they can, by bringing home a victory. This Sunday evening they will host Sampdoria at their home ground in Turin, so, if they want a victory, they should better enter the pitch more than focused.
Andrea Pirlo knows he can count on all of his players, starting from one of Juventus newest member, former Barcelona's player, Brazilian midfielder Arhur (3 goals and 3 assists in La Liga 2019/20) to create some dangerous attempts, just like Argentian Playamaker Paulo Dybala (11 goals and 6 assists in Serie A 2019/20), which task will be to lead the team. In the end, the task of scoring will be entrusted to legendary Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo (31 goals and 5 assists in Serie A 2019/20), who doesn't need any introduction.
As we take a look to the away team, we have Sampdoria, who will play their first match of this new season in Turin. They are coming from a bad season, who fortunately ended in a better way. They started very bad the previous season, but since legendary Claudio Ranieri came as new manager, the things changed in a better way. Just like their biggest rivals, their “Brothers” Genoa, they were close to get demoted, but fortunately for them, this didn't happen. This Sunday evening they will start their new season, a judging their opponents, they should better come more than focused if they want to bring back home in Genova at least a draw. This won't be any easy game for them, since they will face the best Italian club in the previous 9 seasons.
Their coach, Claudio Ranieri, believes in all of his players, starting from Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Ramirez (7 goals and 2 assists in Serie A 2019/20), who has proved in the last season that he can be very dangerous in the offensive phase. Juventus's biggest problem will surely be the duo in attack composed by the Italian forwards Manolo Gabbiadini (11 goals and 1 assist in Serie A 2019/20) and his partner, legendary Fabio Quagliarella (11 goals and 3 assists in Serie A 2019/20). This two in combine can be very dangerous, so the defenders should better focus on them if they want to keep the clean sheat.
This will be the 125th time they face each other. Juventus is leading with 61 victories, instead of Sampdoria who has won 26 times. There are also 37 draws. The last time they have faced each other was in the second half of the previous season, Juventus won (Juventus 2-0 Sampdoria).

This match will be full of goal chances. Both teams will spend most of the time by attacking each other and trying to score. Since this will be the first game of this new season. Juventus will be more offensive, they will spend most of their time by attacking and trying to score, instead of Sampdoria who will be more defensive, and try to use some Juventus's mistakes to create some dangerous attempts and trying to score.
After all I said about these two teams and the match, I would think that Juventus will win this one.
So my final Juventus vs Sampdoria Prediction is : Juventus to win to nil

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
