The Derby Della Mole is going to be a tense affair for both teams, as Juventus and Torino are struggling under new coaches.
The Bianconeri must do without hitman Alvaro Morata, who begins a two-match ban for insulting the referee in last week’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Benevento. That was yet another example of Andrea Pirlo’s men dropping points against less than stellar opposition and they are beginning to fall a long way behind leaders Milan. Juve runs the real risk of drawing six of the first 10 rounds for the first time since 1965-66. Federico Chiesa scored one and created two, but Cristiano Ronaldo marked his 750th career goal as Juventus crushed Dynamo Kiev 3-0. Morata got his own goal, a delicate first touch to commit the defender, leaving a gap to fire home from 12 yards.
Juve struggled once again in Seria A the last weekend as Alvaro Morata and Gaetano Letizia both scored spectacular goals, while Wojciech Szczesny and Lorenzo Montipò also made excellent fingertip saves. Juventus took the lead at the Stadio Vigorito when Federico Chiesa’s inspired cross-field pass found Morata for a control, shimmy, and angled drive. Szczesny kept Juve in front with a remarkable save at full stretch to push Pasquale Schiattarella’s effort out of the far bottom corner. Moments later he was unable to prevent a splendid Letizia volley on Arthur’s weak clearance. Juve threw the kitchen sink at Benevento in the second half, with Montipò decisive in goal and Paulo Dybala off target, but Morata let the tension get to him with a red card after the final whistle for dissent.
Juventus (3-4-1-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, De Ligt; Cuadrado, Arthur, Rabiot, Alex Sandro; Ramsey; Dybala, Ronaldo
Suspended: Morata
Injured: Buffon, Chiellini

Toro is in worse shape and it could be one of the last chances for coach Marco Giampaolo. They’ve scraped just six points from nine rounds, their worst ever start in the three points for a win era, and were held to a 2-2 draw at Sampdoria on Monday. Andrea Belotti has shaken off a knock and can play his 100th official game in the Granata jersey, partnering ex-Juventus striker Simone Zaza. Torino has won just one of their last 28 Serie A games against Juventus, 2-1 in April 2015, interrupting six draws and 21 defeats.
Torino had another disappointing evening, on Monday, Andrea Belotti opened the scoring against Samp, but Torino needed a Soualiho Meite goal to claim one point, as Antonio Candreva inspired Sampdoria in the second half. It ended in a 2-2 draw at the Grande Torino, as Candreva first scored the equalizer and then set up Fabio Quagliarella’s goal to make it 1-2 before Meite grabbed the equalizer from a corner kick.
Torino (3-5-2): Sirigu; Bremer, Lyanco, Rodriguez; Singo, Meite, Rincon, Linetty, Ansaldi; Zaza, Belotti
Suspended: None
Injured: Baselli, Gojak, Lukic, Vojvoda, Ujkani
On a yellow card: Rincon

Pirlo, who started his first experience as a coach when he replaced Maurizio Sarri at the Allianz Stadium over the summer, has received criticism as his team struggle to convince in Serie A. Victory in the city derby could ease his job and put away fans worries before the end of the first half of the season.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
