Koln didn't start well and must find solutions against high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt at the RheinEnergieStadion on Sunday.
Koln's start to the season hasn't gone to plan, with the team down in 16th place after losing all three Bundesliga games so far. Cologne is winless in 13 Bundesliga matches (D4, L9), and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 14. Markus Gisdol's team lost 3-1 at home to local rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach last time out, but are boosted by the returns of attack-minded duo Ismael Jakobs and Anthony Modeste following injury, with the former expected to slot straight into the starting line-up. Florian Kainz and Jonas Hector, who has announced his retirement from the Germany national team, are out injured. Freshly minted Belgium international Sebastiaan Bornauw will begin in central defense as Cologne bid to tighten a backline that has conceded seven times already.
Sebastian Andersson scored one of his team-leading 12 Bundesliga goals for former club Union Berlin last season in a 2-1 win over Frankfurt. The Swede chipped in with a goal and assist on his Koln debut on Matchday 1. New signing Marius Wolf won the 2018 DFB Cup with Frankfurt, for whom he scored five goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances.
Koln: T. Horn (c) - Schmitz, Bornauw, Czichos, J. Horn - Skhiri, Rexhbecaj - Wolf, Duda, Jakobs - Andersson
Out: Hector (neck), Kainz (knee)
Doubtful: Clemens (thigh)
Coach: Markus Gisdol
Frankfurt, on the other hand, will have no complaints about the way their Bundesliga campaign is going. Adi Hütter's side drew with Arminia Bielefeld on an opening day, but have since posted impressive victories over Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim to sit in third place on goal difference, level on seven points with leaders RB Leipzig. Frankfurt has made their best start to a Bundesliga for eight years, and are unbeaten in their last five on the road (W4, D1). Silva and Dost have been the driving forces behind the Eagles' impressive early-season form, hitting a combined four goals and three assists, thereby mitigating the loss of winger Filip Kostic to a serious knee injury sustained on Matchday 2. Dost has had direct involvement in four of the six, scoring and assisting two apiece.
Summer signing Steven Zuber took his place on the left-wing last time out and should keep his place despite the arrival of Amin Younes. With no fresh injuries to report, Hütter is not expected to mix too much with a winning team. The Eagles have scored four of their six goals this term in the second half of matches. Of their total 59 Bundesliga goals last season, they hit a league-high 43 in the second half.
Frankfurt: Trapp - Abraham (c), Hasebe, Hinteregger - Toure, Rode, Ilsanker, Zuber - Kamada - Dost, Silva
Out: Ache (thigh), Kostic (knee)
Doubtful: -
Coach: Adi Hütter

Both teams are capable to score rather than to defend their goal and with the home team added pressure to earn some points there is a feeling that visitors could exploit that and win.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
