Lazio host Club Brugge in a crunch UEFA Champions League Group F clash, in which the winner will earn qualification for the round of 16.
Lazio goes into this final game in Group F needing to avoid defeat to qualify for the knock-out stages. On the other side, a win for Club Brugge would see them qualify and send Lazio into the Europa League. A draw is also an option for a home team and qualification is the main target for the Italian side no matter if they are first or second in this group. They have won both of their home games by a 3-1, and in all competitions, Lazio has only lost one of their last six home matches. The weekend saw them get a 2-1 win away at Spezia, they took all three points with two moments of sheer quality from Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but Spezia was so unlucky. The Biancocelesti got the job done early on with an inspirational Milinkovic-Savic, who created one goal for Immobile and scored the second with a precise free-kick. Spezia largely controlled the game and had numerous chances, especially when Neuhel Estevez and Simone Bastoni rattled the frame of the goal. M’Bala Nzola did get one back eventually with a fantastic curler on the counter, but Andreas Pereira saw a late Lazio goal chalked offside.
Coach Simone Inzaghi will pick two from four center-backs - Patric, Luiz Felipe, Wesley Hoedt, and Stefan Radu - to complete the back three alongside Francesco Acerbi. Adam Marusic started against Spezia, but Mohamed Fares may return on the opposite flank to Manuel Lazzari. Striker Vedat Muriqi and captain Senad Lulic are both expected to miss out through injury.
Lazio (3-5-2): Pepe Reina; Patric, Francesco Acerbi, Wesley Hoedt; Adam Marusic, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto, Mohamed Fares; Joaquin Correa, Ciro Immobile
Club Brugge are two points behind Lazio, so only a win will take them into the last sixteen of the Champions League. If they do, it will be the first time they have made it out of the group stages. They got off to a good start in this group with a 2-1 win at Zenit, thanks to a 93rd-minute winner. Brugge followed that up with a home 1-1 draw with Lazio, after conceding an early goal, but in that game, Lazio only got 13 senior players due to a bad coronavirus situation in the team.
Two games against Borussia Dortmund both ended in 3-0 defeats. They boosted their qualification hopes with a 3-0 home win over Zenit. Brugge beat Sint-Truiden 1-0 at home to maintain a two-point lead in the Belgian Jupiler League. Only two of their last six away games in all competitions have been won and they are probably surprised that they are even in contention to play a match that could give them a breakthrough to the knockout stages.
Brugge boss Phillipe Clement has generally utilized a 4-1-3-2 setup in Europe, but this time he has to use more attacking formation. He has the luxury of a full squad to select from, with Nigeria forward Emmanuel Dennis and Dutch winger Noa Lang the favorites to start alongside in-form Charles De Ketelaere. In defense, Brandon Mechele and Odilon Kossounou will form the central defensive pairing ahead of goalkeeping hero Simon Mignolet, whose experience at this level could be crucial in a very young team.
Club Brugge (4-3-3): Simon Mignolet; Clinton Mata, Brandon Mechele, Odilon Kossounou, Federico Ricca; Ruud Vormer, Eder Balanta, Hans Vanaken; Emmanuel Dennis, Charles De Ketelaere, Noa Lang

Lazio must be the heavy favorite to win this game despite some below average performances lately, especially against Udinese. The home win must be the first betting option for this game.

Daniel Garcia is originally from Basque Country, and as a kid who grew up just a few streets from Mendizorrotza Stadium, the choice of Deportivo Alavés as his favourite club is more than obvious. Because of his studies, he moved to Madrid where he graduated in Sports Journalism. Daniel plays football on the weekends, but that does not stop him from watching all La Liga matches. He believes that the outcome of a match can be predicted if all the parameters are analyzed well, including form of the players and weather conditions. Currently he is living in Belgrade, and is in love with a Serbian girl who works as a journalist at one of the famous Sport Channels in Serbia.
