LEEDS VS ARSENAL MATCH ANALYSIS
Leeds put in a superb showing at Aston Villa (0-3) in the 6th round, ending their winning streak, as Patrick Bamford’s scored his first Premier League hat-trick. That win pushed the Whites up the table to 7th, albeit shortly, as they slipped down to 15th, remaining at 10 points after two shocking 4-1 defeats – first against Leicester at home, and then against Crystal Palace in London. Their record in the league so far is W3-D1-L4. As for Arsenal, with 4 of their 8 league matches won, and four of them lost, they are sitting in the 11th place with 12 points, after their home defeat to Villa at home before the international break. They still haven’t drawn in the league, and maybe that should be the most logical outcome against Leeds at the weekend.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds are looking to establish themselves back in the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from English football's top flight. The Villa result lifted Leeds to third for a short while, which is their highest position at the end of a day in the top-flight since September 2002. However, after back-to-back defeats, they fell down the pecking order. Against Leicester at home, Leeds looked shaky in possession and indecisive off the ball, while the Foxes were sharp, ruthless, and clinical.
They were trashed again by Crystal Palace before the break, as Eberechi Eze registered his first Crystal Palace goal in an entertaining match at Selhurst Park. Bielsa lamented a lack of chances created by his side, but eight goals shipped in two games would suggest the problem lies at the defensive end. They have now conceded 17 goals in their first eight league games this season.
Arsenal, on the other hand, encouraged by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Man Utd, wanted to give fans yet another reason for celebration when Aston Villa visited the Emirates but were stopped in their tracks by a resilient Villa side (0-3). The Gunners will surely bounce back from this defeat, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is likely to field the best possible side for the Leeds game.
The international break came at a good time for both sides who suffered big defeats last time out. For all of Mikel Arteta's plaudits, the Gunners have still lost four of their last six PL matches and will more than likely be in the bottom half of the Premier League standings by the time this match starts. They have failed to score in three of their last four and only scored a penalty in the other. Does a first home win over Arsenal since 2000 beckon for Leeds?

The Whites have been blowing hot and cold since the start of the season, but their recent performances are giving fans a reason for worry. Marcelo Bielsa’s side had all sorts of problems in back-to-back defeats to Leicester and Crystal Palace, and it is no surprise the odds for away win have been dropping.
The Gunners also want to amend for a terrible loss to Villa, and this will be the first chance to find their feet and to get back on course. Mikel Arteta’s men are eager to move a little closer to the Champions League berth, but they will miss Kolasinac and Elneny, who tested positive for coronavirus, but their new star signing Partey should recover in time from the thigh injury he suffered against Villa.
BettingKick’s prediction for Leeds vs Arsenal match is: Under 2.5 goals
