Leeds host Aston Villa at the Elland Road (Leeds) in the 26th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 5.30 pm (UK) on Saturday, February 27. Read our reasons for Leeds vs Aston Villa prediction and betting tips.
Both sides are in decent form in general in the Premier League having returned in consecutive years. Leeds look set to survive in their first season back in the big time and with some room to spare, currently well clear of the relegation zone and looking more towards mid-table and possible European qualification along with the visitors on Saturday. Meanwhile, Aston Villa stayed up by the skin of their teeth in the 2019/20 season, but have kicked on under Dean Smith and in Grealish, Watkins, and Traore, have some of the most dangerous attacking players in the Premier League.
Bielsa’s side have been made too often to pay for their expansive style, missed chances as well as defensive errors. However, of the promoted teams, Leeds have more points than West Brom and Fulham combined which is a testimony of their solidity. The Whites have also struggled with defensive injuries all season, but have done well to sit in the right half of the table (10th) with 13 matches remaining. The Whites go into this clash after chalking up four wins from their last six Premier League fixtures.
Marcelo Bielsa certainly doesn’t set up his team to draw games and seems to be obsessed with attacking football and scoring goals at all costs. Of their 25 games this season they have drawn just 2. Of the other 23 games, 14 have been won or lost by more than a one-goal margin, as witnessed again in midweek, after their 3-0 dispatching of Southampton. Whether you agree or not with Bielsa’s somewhat Gung-ho style, Leeds have certainly brought a breath of fresh air to the Premier League this season.
On the other hand, Aston Villa have been the surprise performers for the season, too, with some mesmerizing performances, especially against the traditional top-six of English football - including a double over Arsenal. The Birmingham club head into this game after a disappointing 2-1 loss against Leicester at the Villa Park, and would be looking to rack up points to reach the Europa League or even the Champions League if they dare to dream.
Against the Foxes, a leg injury sustained during training meant that for the first time since November 2019, club captain Jack Grealish was not in the Aston Villa squad for a Premier League match. Nobody has been involved in more Villa goals than Grealish this season, and without their captain, Smith's side looked a shadow of their usual selves in the first half as they went 2-0 down. Forward Traore halved the deficit three minutes after the restart, but Leicester easily wrestled back control. Grealish had started Villa's previous 48 league fixtures - but they must learn to adapt to life without him if he does not return quickly.

Leeds meet Aston Villa looking to complete their first league double over Aston Villa since the 1975-76 campaign, following their 3-0 win at Villa Park earlier this season. The Whites have lost just one of their last eight meetings with the Villans and have a better overall record with 7 wins to Villa’s 5 in their last 20 meetings. Aston Villa have won just two of their last 17 away league games against Leeds (D9 L6), with those victories coming in January and December 2000. Having in mind that Villa will be without their talisman Grealish, we are tempted to mark Leeds as favourites to win, but Villa have an excellent away record.
We count on both teams looking for the three points, so the BettingKick’s Leeds vs Aston Villa prediction is: both teams to score

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
