LEEDS VS EVERTON MATCH ANALYSIS
Leeds come into this match on the back of a 1-2 win against Newcastle at St. James’ Park and an impressive 1-3 win at Leicester. They are in 11th place in the league after two wins on the trot and risk wasting on that good work if they don’t get anything from the Toffees on Sunday. The visitors, on the other hand, visit Leeds after losing 2-0 to the Magpies on Saturday at the Goodison. They also come into this game on the back of a Round 5 Fa Cup win against Championship side Sheffield Wed and a 1-1 draw against Leicester in the league. They are in 8th with two games in hand and could make a serious top-six push with a win here.
The Whites have been blowing hot and cold lately, failing to score in back-to-back losses against Tottenham and Brighton, either side of an FA Cup humbling at League Two Crawley. Bielsa’s side have been yet again made to pay for their expansive style, missed chances as well as defensive errors. However, they bounced back against Newcastle and made an even better riposte to their critics against Foxes.
On Sunday, Bamford inspired Leeds to victory after having a role in all three goals as Leeds fought back to end Leicester's seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League with a deserved victory at King Power Stadium. Just like against Newcastle, Leeds continued to produce their counter-attacking best. Of the promoted teams, Leeds have more points than West Brom and Fulham combined which is, with injuries to Rodrigo and Raphinha, a testimony of their solidity.
As for Everton, they have done well so far despite the absence of James Rodriguez in midfield for most parts of the season. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has arguably been the Toffees standout performer so far, with the England international scoring 19 goals in all competitions and impressing with his all-round play. The Toffees were looking to win their fourth match in five against Newcastle, but were toothless and simply not up for it.
Ancelotti spoke earlier on Friday about how his team is playing to their strengths this season by being solid in defense and combining the passing range of James Rodriguez with their aerial prowess. But their more direct approach and a lack of midfield control showed against Steve Bruce’s side, even if Abdoulaye Doucoure, Alex Iwobi, and Gylfi Sigurdsson were back in the side.

Leeds have a positive record against Everton in all competitions, winning 7 times to the visitors’ 4 in their last 20 meetings. The hosts can also do a double over Everton here as they have won 1-0 in the reverse fixture at the Goodison on November 28.
On the other hand, Ancelotti’s team haven’t lost on their last five travels (W4, D1) in all competitions, but have only won one of their last 37 top-flight away games against Leeds (D9 L27). Moreover, of the 45 sides Everton have faced in top-flight history, their lowest win rate on the road is against Leeds.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
