After the promotion to the Premier League, Leeds received a bye for the first round of the Carabao Cup and entered the second stage. They will take on Hull under the lights of Elland Road on Wednesday, September 16 and the match will kick off at 7.45pm (UK). The winner here will visit London in the third round to play either West Ham United or Charlton Athletic.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side is looking to establish themselves back in the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from English football's top flight. Leeds finished their campaign ten points above the second-placed West Brom, after finishing the season on a high note. They won 12 of their last 14 games, and were brilliant throughout the whole season.
At the weekend, Leeds were impressive in their Premier League debut against Liverpool, even though they lost (4-3). They came back from behind three times and showed impressive resilience. As a newly promoted side they will, without any doubt take lots of points against more experienced Premier League teams. It's not a small feat to put three behind Liverpool at Anfield, and Hull faces a daunting task when they visit Leeds.
The seven weeks since Hull City dropped out from the Championship has helped forget the gloom but it remains hard to be positive with the expectations for the new season around Grant McCann’s team. There haven't been enough changes to lift the fears that the hangover will be carried into League One. When you win only one game and six points in total from the final twenty games it's hard to shake of the negativity.
Their campaign started already when they recorded their first competitive loss in 2020/2021 season on September 8 in the EFL Trophy against Leicester City U21. On the brighter side, the addition of Lewie Coyle, Richie Smallwood and Greg Docherty look like a clever buys which will address the inadequacies in the side. They are still short of a striker and few more players.

Hull started their League One campaign on Sunday with a brilliant away win (0-2) against Gillingham, but more importantly they looked impressive. If this is a sign of things to come, they could prove to be a tough opponent for Leeds on Wednesday. However, Leeds are a brilliant team under Bielsa, and the tie promises great entertainment.
The last time the Whites faced Hull, two goals from Tyler Roberts and Luke Ayling and Pablo Hernandez gave Leeds a 4-0 win at the KCOM Stadium.Leeds have a better head-to-head record with 6 wins to Hull's 3, and Bielsa has won the only two games against Grant McCann so far

Wyatt grew up in the suburbs of London and he is a big Chelsea fan. As a young boy, he found his love for football, which became an obsession, but when he tried playing it he soon realized that he just wasn't talented enough. Bearing that in mind, Wyatt decided to learn everything there is to know about all the teams and players, with special focus on Premier League and Championship . Wyatt has a big affection for Championship and he is well versed in all the teams and knows their advantages and weak spots very well. He is an economist, and being one makes him good with numbers and also good with the odds. His specialty are BTTS matches.
