Leeds host Man United at the Elland Road (Leeds) in the 33rd round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 2 pm (UK) on Sunday, April 25. Read our reasons for Leeds vs Man United prediction and betting tips.
Leeds' place in next season's Premier League has been confirmed thanks to the point earned against Premier League champions Liverpool on Monday night. Unbeaten in their last five matches, Leeds are certainly in the right shape to avoid another 6-2 drubbing against Man United. They should be confident of avoiding defeat in any form having beaten Man City and drawn with Chelsea and Liverpool in their current unbeaten run. As for Man United, they must quickly put any upheaval caused by the ‘ESL’ controversy behind them to keep their slim title hopes alive. Unbeaten in 12 league games (W7, D5), they’re seeking to overhaul an 11-point deficit to City with six fixtures remaining.
Leeds’ place in next season's Premier League has been mathematically secured following their 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Monday night. Diego Llorente headed home an 87th-minute equaliser against the Premier League champions to move Leeds onto 46 points, a total that cannot be matched by any of the sides currently in the bottom three. While Leeds' recent form and midtable place in the table had effectively settled this debate several weeks ago, Marcelo Bielsa's side have now confirmed a second season in the top flight.
Leeds are currently in their longest unbeaten Premier League run since December 2003, having won three and drawn two of their last five matches. The Whites have now achieved their number one priority for the season and the financial rewards that will go with Bielsa's side now have six matches remaining and their current good form, which has seen them claim four points against the defending champions and champions-elect in their past two matches offers further proof that this team will take their foot off the pedal between now and the end of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Man United have won five in a row in the league, are unbeaten in their last 12 and remarkably haven't lost away from home in the competition since January 2020. Elland Road would be rocking with fans in attendance for this fixture but the absence of supporters certainly favours United. Nevertheless, the Red Devils are well placed to finish best of the rest behind neighbours City after beating Burnley 3-1 to make it five straight league victories.
To be fair, the Clarets were very competitive at Old Trafford and James Tarkowski quickly cancelled out Mason Greenwood’s 48th-minute opener. However, Greenwood struck again late on and Edinson Cavani ensured there would be no second comeback in the closing stages. United’s superb away record in this competition is made even more eye-catching due to a series of recoveries from falling behind. They have conceded more goals than they have scored in the first half of road games, but lead 20-3 after the interval which should make for a very interesting match.

Leeds meet United for the first time in a league game since October 2003, a 0-1 defeat. They’ve not lost consecutive home league games against the Red Devils since October 1976. However, in all competitions Leeds have won just one of their last eight home games against Man United (D2 L5), losing each of the last three in a row. Also, Man United won the reverse fixture against Leeds at Old Trafford 6-2 – and could do a third-ever league double over Leeds.
