Leeds host West Brom at the Elland Road (Leeds) in the final 38th round of the Premier League and the match kicks off at 4 pm (UK) on Sunday, May 23. Read our reasons for Leeds vs West Brom prediction and betting tips.
It’s fitting that two sides who came up together last season will finish the campaign against each other here. Already promised a top-half finish, Leeds have recorded three Premier League victories in succession for the second time this season - they last won four consecutive top-flight clashes in 2002. Marcelo Bielsa’s side have a mixed home record in matches when favourites (W6, L5), so they won’t treat their relegated opponents lightly. Meanwhile, Relegated West Brom bid farewell to the Premier League for another season on Sunday. They have taken the lead in their last two matches but lost both. The Baggies are winless in six and have only won twice on the road all season. They lost the reverse fixture 5-0.
Leeds have shown the benefit of a superb fitness regime and shrewd rotation policy to finish the season looking fresh and full of energy. The Whites will be seeking a fourth straight victory when entertaining relegated West Brom without a win in six outings. Leeds followed up convincing wins over Tottenham and Burnley with a 2-0 triumph at Southampton where Patrick Bamford netted his 16th league goal of a stellar campaign and played a part in Tyler Roberts’ stoppage-time strike.
They are finishing the season like a train and should take care of relegated Baggies. It’s been a season to remember for the Whites back in the top flight and a top-half finish would be remarkable. Marcelo Bielsa will ensure his side fight to the very end, and although the Baggies showed their fight against Liverpool last Sunday, they struggled to recover from their last-gasp defeat with a loss to West Ham. They look highly likely to lose on this occasion as well.
West Brom completed a hat-trick of defeats when beaten 3-1 at home by West Ham, despite going ahead through Matheus Pereira. After the game veteran boss, Sam Allardyce confirmed he will leave the club. In light of that decision and the recent run of poor results, we fear there may not be much petrol left in Albion’s tank. However, while the Baggies have suffered defeat in six of their previous nine away games, Sam Allardyce is unbeaten in four managerial visits to Elland Road (W2, D2).
For West Brom, this game will be all about their future in the Championship and finding a way for the possible return to the top-flight next season. Sam Allardyce's decision not to see out the final year of his contract says quite a lot about the financial clout West Brom have to mount an immediate promotion challenge. With just over 11 weeks to go before the next Championship season starts, club sources say they are committed to making the right appointment rather than a quick one this time.

Leeds meet West Brom unbeaten in their last four against the Baggies (W3, D1), with those three victories coming by an aggregate score of 10-0. Moreover, West Brom have won just one of their last 11 away league games against Leeds (D3, L7), winning 3-2 in the Championship in January 2007. Leeds have scored 59 Premier League goals this season, a record for a promoted club in a 38-game season in the competition and we expect them to add another three points to that tally.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
