LEEDS VS WEST HAM MATCH ANALYSIS
The win against Villa in the 6th round pushed the Whites up the table to 3rd, albeit shortly, as they slipped down to 14th, with 14 points, after their defeat against Chelsea (3-1) last week. After shipping eight goals against Leicester and Crystal Palace, their form is on the up as they have followed it with two games without conceding, before the Chelsea game. As for West Ham, The Hammers are in 8th place with 17 points after eleven weeks (W5-D2-L4). They have been producing fine displays in the Premier League recently, with only two defeats in their last nine fixtures, with Man Utd ending their three-game winning run (1-3) last Saturday.
Leeds are surely looking to establish themselves back in the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from English football's top flight. The Villa result lifted Leeds to third for a short while, which is their highest position at the end of a day in the top-flight since September 2002. However, after back-to-back 4-1 defeats against Leicester and Crystal Palace, they fell down the pecking order. The goalless draw against Arsenal, lifted their spirits a bit before they properly bounced back with a win at the Goodison. Unfortunately, they could not repeat the same feat at Stamford Bridge, even though they had started the game brightly.
Former Blues striker Patrick Bamford, who spent five years at Chelsea without making a senior appearance, gave Leeds an early lead, but Giroud equalized as he marked his first league start of the season with his fifth goal of the week, while Zouma headed in for the lead, and substitute Christian Pulisic added a late third. Bamford is now level on goals with Vardy and Salah, but Leeds’ problems were more of a defensive nature as their vulnerability at set-pieces was evident again.
The Hammers, on the other hand, have had some fantastic results so far. They took a point off Man City at home (1-1 ) and had easily dispatched the likes of Wolves (4-0) and Leicester (0-3). They also drew against the Spurs after an astonishing comeback (3-3). Victories against lesser opposition, such as Sheffield Utd on November 22, or Villa last Saturday are just as important if they want to finish in the top ten, but they have shown they know how to raise the game against top clubs.
Unfortunately, they could not repeat the same against Man Utd last weekend, even though David Moyes' side made by far the better start. They should have added more before the interval, but goals from Pogba, Greenwood, and substitute Rashford turned things around for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, who have fallen behind in all five away games this term but have won every match as part of a club-record nine successive away league victories. The defeat left West Ham sitting eighth in the standings after an opening schedule that has included games against all but Chelsea of the last season's top eight.

These two teams last met in season 2011/12 in the Championship when both fixtures ended in draws.
The Whites have been producing fine displays on their return to the Premier League, but they need to keep on raising their form if they are to secure the elite division survival.
Leeds have conceded five goals from set-pieces (excluding penalties) in the Premier League this season, only Leicester have conceded more from such situations (six) and have lost three of their last five Premier League games (W1-D1), conceding three or more goals.
The Hammers, on the other hand, have dropped more points from winning positions in 2020 than any other team in the Premier League (19).
Antonio remains in the recovery room and having in mind their not so great away record (W2-D1-L3), Leeds could be seen as favourites ahead of the match.

Tucker grew up in London, more precisely in West London. But, unlike many locals, he doesn’t like big and famous teams from that part of the city. Instead, ever since he was a kid, Tucker was passionate for lower divisions. This passion was born when his uncle from Reading took him to the local derby with Aldershot Town when he was 6 and since that moment football was running through his veins. He became a huge fan of the Royals for life, and whenever he could, he goes to Madejski Stadium to enjoy the game. Apart from being a job, his sports knowledge also becomes more than useful when he is betting live on high stakes which is also his passion.
