Leeds host Wolves in the 5th round of the Premier League at the Elland Road (Leeds) on Monday, October 19 and the match kicks off at 8pm (UK).
MATCH PREVIEW
Leeds have started the season furiously as was expected, with goals and crazy score-lines. Their first two games both finished 4-3, having lost the first against Liverpool and getting the respective win against Fulham at home. They followed it with a tight 0-1 away victory against Sheffield Utd and right before the international break they deservedly took a big point against last season runner-ups Man City (1-1).They are 8th in the table with 7 points ahead of their home game against Wolves on Monday.
Wolves made a brilliant start to their season with an opening away win (0-2) against Sheffield United. which was followed by a second week match against Man City at the Moulinex, where the visitors were too strong (1-3)and got their revenge for the last campaign's double defeat. They followed it with another rather surprising 4-0 defeat to West Ham in London, which was their worst Premier League defeat since 2012, then bounced back against Fulham (1-0) in the previous round which took them to 13th place in the table with 6 points.
MATCH ANALYSIS
Marcelo Bielsa’s side is looking to establish themselves back in the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from English football's top flight. Their pressing is relentless and the opponents have to work hard to respond to Leeds' intensity which only few teams will be able to match. Leeds have enjoyed an entertaining start to the season, having scored and conceded seven goals in their opening defeat to Liverpool (4-3) and a win over Fulham (4-3), but the Whites sorted out the defensive niggles and came away with a win and a clean sheet against the Blades (0-1) and most recently in the league Leeds came from behind in stirring fashion to secure a thoroughly deserved point as they played out a thrilling draw with Manchester City at Elland Road. Not only did they stand toe-to-toe with City but also dominated much of the second half and will try to repeat that fantastic performance at the weekend as well.
After being thrashed by West Ham in the third round (4-0), the visit of a Fulham team yet to earn a point on their return to the top flight seemed an ideal opportunity for Wolves to get back on track and Pedro Neto's goal helped them return to winning ways as they condemned Fulham to a fourth straight league defeat. The hosts, who had lost their two previous top-flight games by an aggregate score of 7-1, move up to 13th in the table with the victory. Fans of the West Midlands club were buoyed in the week by the news that the club had secured the long-term services of captain and also signed France Under-21 international Rayan Ait-Nouri, as a replacement for Ruben Vinagre who joined Olympiakos. Wolves have kept more home clean sheets in the Premier League in 2020 than any other side (7) in their last 9 league matches at Molineux but their away form is something Nuno Espirito Santo has to address ahead of the clash with Leeds.

As for some stats and facts, these two teams have been involved in 14 matches so far with Wolves having an upper hand with 8 wins to Leeds' 5 and only one game finishing without a winner.
Wolves have won their last 3 head-to-head matches, most recently in March 2018.
Their matches have averaged 2.71 goals where Leeds have scored 1.14 and Wolves have averaged 1.57 goals per match.
This match is expected to be one of the most exciting games of the weekend as Leeds have not been beaten in 21 of their 23 most recent home matches in all competitions while Wolves have a poor record of 3 defeats by 2+ goals In their last 5 games in the league.
My prediction for this match is: over 2.5 goals

Wyatt grew up in the suburbs of London and he is a big Chelsea fan. As a young boy, he found his love for football, which became an obsession, but when he tried playing it he soon realized that he just wasn't talented enough. Bearing that in mind, Wyatt decided to learn everything there is to know about all the teams and players, with special focus on Premier League and Championship . Wyatt has a big affection for Championship and he is well versed in all the teams and knows their advantages and weak spots very well. He is an economist, and being one makes him good with numbers and also good with the odds. His specialty are BTTS matches.
